352 etc (or infact any system) only works when all the players understand the system, where they fit into it and where everyone else fits in .
If they don't, then however attractive it may seem on paper, in practice it just turns into the disjointed mess we've seen at times this season.
The issue with mk at home (for instance) was not in itself having c brown as wing back, it was the fact that the front five had clearly not been given any indication of how they were meant to line up and interact.
This is why sticking with 433 made sense - it was the only system the players really understand and could function in, AND, in all likelihood because, the only system KR was able to coach well (and tbf one he has coached very well at times in previous seasons) or could get across to them.
If the new guy can get 352/532 across to them all in a week, then great, it'll suit what we have, but that takes a lot more than just plugging XI names into a formation planner and thinking job done - which is perhaps where our recent incumbent(and some forum members) went wrong
