Big test today with a silly kick-off time.
But have no fear, our quality will result in another win. 2-0 for the mighty Yellows

Simon Mather, 39 is the man in the middle for today’s 12.30pm clash with the Gas.
The Manchester official was appointed to the EFL in 2021 and this season has been ‘card happy’ issuing 36 yellow cards and four reds in just six matches.
In February 2022 Mather drew strong criticism from referee ‘supremo’ Keith Hackett for ruining an FA Cup clash between Wimbledon and Sunderland where he issued
13 yellow cards and a red. Every caution was assessed as being too harsh.

Hackett said of Mather: “ He may not have lost control of the game, but he may have lost control of himself. His refereeing is ineffective.’
‘The yellow card is to be used as a warning. I think that referee needs some advice and some coaching so he can make his future yellow cards more effective.”

Mather was also heavily criticised for disallowing two Torquay Utd goals v Hartlepool in the National League Play-off final at Ashton Gate in 2021.

I hope the ref doesn’t ruin the game today (although he can send a couple of Rovers players off unfairly if he wants)

Hopefully my time to get a few pints back today. The last few seasons, have cost me a fortune in Thatchers

Like him or not he's a good manager certainly had a voodoo over us let's hope for a solid result.

😱😱😱

Tough one
In that our record against them isn’t great and of course the Barton factor,he seems to have the edge over us
At the moment they blow hot and cold. Depends which Rovers turn up

Bristol R played a 4-3-3 versus Port Vale in midweek.

Can new striker signing Chris Martin start two games in four days after not playing for 6 months? Will Scott Sinclair come in for him and Aaron Collins
play centrally in attack? Joey Barton said Chris Martin was sore/stiff after midweek.
Interesting is that Harvey Vale is an attacking midfielder playing at left back. Josh Grant is defensive MF playing centre back too.

Matthew Cox

Jack Hunt - Josh Grant - Connor Taylor - Harvey Vale

Lamare Bogarde - Ryan Woods - Luke McCormick

Jevani Brown - Chris Martin - Aaron Collins

Out for a month includes John Marquis, Luke Thomas, George Friend, James Wilson.
Sam Finley could be on the bench today or replace Woods?
