The irony in this thread is that you are all quick to shoot the mighty down while in the next breath you hint at this being your biggest test.
On the other hand, not one Blackpool fan worries about playing your lot. We do have some respect for the temporary form you’ve hit but that will be ended today.
Bless.

Your trying to hard

Tough game, they've found form, we've found the lurgy by all accounts. Wouldn't be too upset with our first draw of the season today.

Blackpool are probably a decent team who should be in and around the playoffs but again plenty of people are building them up to be better than they are, a bit like Bristol Rovers were last time out. This run of form they're on includes a good win against an average Stevenage side (who we beat 3-1 away) a draw at a decent Charlton side (who we beat at home) and a defeat at home to Derby (who we beat away). Go back before that and they had a good win at Barnsley, although not as comprehensive as ours was there. They've managed 5 points away from home this season, we had that knocked on the head by mid August after beating Derby and Barnsley back to back.

If Brannagan is out of course it's a blow, as is Edwards but these things happen over a season and we have replacements. We rightly go in as favourites and should be thinking of the win first and foremost. That's not a lack of respect for Blackpool or arrogance but based on where we are and what we've done this season. We're not guaranteed a win and it wouldn't be a huge shock or break our season if we lost, it's football and League One and these things will happen. We've lost to Port Vale at home and at Cambridge and we're better than both of them, Cheltenham's only points this season have been draws at Pompey and home to Derby while they've been battered by all sorts of crap, funny results will happen. We can all look at their recent results and build our opponents up as world beaters but who's seen a better keeper than Beadle this season? I've not seen a midfielder more impressive than McGuane. Moore has been back to his best and we're very solid defensively, Leigh has come in and been player of the month straight away, why aren't we saying he's the best left back in the division? Rodrigues would be in any team in the league and gets better and better, if Brannagan is out then in comes the vastly experienced McEachran who was man of the match last time he played in the league. We should respect other teams but they should certainly respect us, we've got some real talent in the squad.

Let's have a bit of confidence in the lads though eh? I'd say they've earned it.

Will be an interesting game. I rememeber we didnt play 100% after the last break and seemed lathargic. If we win this then I'd say we're well on the way to the autos.

Does anyone know why Blackpool of all sides is the fixture which seems to bring loads of fans onto this forum?!
I was wondering about that, surely they account for at least 50% of visiting fans on this forum across the season, certainly as far as posting semi regularly. A big number considering they aren't a particularly big or well supported club compared to the likes of Derby, Bolton, Barnsley, Pompey etc. They're all trolls and/or thick as well as having a wildly inflated view of how good they are which doesn't help their image. I know we're all wasting our time on internet football forums but I can't imagine spending so long on a forum of a club I don't even support. The fact that some of them still reference a game from two and a half years ago as if it was last season is also bizarre.

I’ve now been drinking since 8am but for the avoidance of confusion, did you really just call Barnsley a big club?
