Two points dropped from our perspective. Not sure if it was because we lost our best midfielder (like you) but we were woeful and too defensive. Once we brought on Lavery and Dembele and went for it, we were in total control. The frustration is why did we wait until the 60th minute to show some attacking intent.

Not sure why your atmosphere is so bad? Maybe it's full of students just looking for an afternoon out?
I have no idea where you get the impression you are some sort of big club from? You were good when we still all had ration books. Our atmosphere's shite yes, and so would yours be if you played miles outside of Blackpool centre in a stadium with a massive open end.

We will soon be in a state of the art stadium playing Championship football.

Also I'm not sure why Blackpool is such a sh*thole? Is it the drug addicts or the benefit brigade who are the bigger problem do you think?

Are you for real or are you back on crack. 8 points ahead old son and a booking for one of your lot for diving. You will be in the playoffs but behind us.
Have a safe journey back to Blackpool
They won't be in the playoffs. They are a shadow of the side we played in the play off semi final. We should've been way out of sight long before they came back at us.

G'od, Murphy and Goodrham all need to wake up soon and put in some effort or else they could all fall by the wayside rapidly especially G'od. And this after Harris's tepid performance today.

Hopefully, by this time next weekend 6 more points will be in our locker and this 1 point may be better than it feels atm.

COYY'S.

I was sceptical of Harris at the beginning of the season, then he scored a few, got sent off and now doesn't look at all confident.
He was very isolated today and was fouled every time he tried to get on the end of a ball. It’s such a shame we didn’t have anyone to step up and help out or an additional option on the bench to bring on sooner. If he gets marked out of big games going forward then we’re gonna be relying heavily elsewhere and we can’t expect Leigh to bail us out every week.

No, but Wigan outplayed Exeter today and are physically very strong - a point there will feel like 3!

What will 3 points feel like?

A couple of points dropped against a decent Blackpool team, with several players affected by illness, and suddenly all the doom and gloom merchants are back posting!

Last 4 games, Oxford 10 points, Wigan 3
Last 6 games, Oxford 16, Wigan 6
Last 8 games, Oxford 19, Wigan 6
Last 10 games, Oxford 25, Wigan 10

What have we got to worry about?!

This is is much more eloquently described than me. I like him as a player and he seems popular, and has a good character but I don't see him getting 12/15 goals, and as you say Greg Leigh is over performing massively with goals at the moment

We've done more than you both historically and in the present. We are a bigger club and every neutral football fan would agree.
You are such a big club that you must’ve been getting 40000 every game, right? I mean,if you were getting 10000 every game that would be similar to us?

We got too deep too soon.

I’m really unsure what O’Donker offers us. He doesn’t look like a goal scorer and today, he didn’t hold up the ball either.

I think it was a point gained based on what unfolded.

Win on Tuesday and it’ll have been a good few days.

Good first half performance, Blackpool better second half. Tight match between 2 teams that will be up there at the end of the season. Feels like a defeat when you concede late like that, would have felt like a win if we’d have scored the late equaliser. Harris needs a goal, to be fair we didn’t really create anything for him today.

I had no idea why he was jogging about, not chasing down etc.
Depends on which points in the game. There were plenty of situations where it would've been absolutely pointless him charging after their centre back when the 3 Oxford players behind him were so deep, Blackpool would've just passed it round it and he would've been out the game.

That said, he hasn't been great recently and if we can get another striker in January then a loan where he's starting every week would do him a lot of good. It's not much of development opportunity for him here when it's just coming on to defend a lead.

It does feel that's there's a few elements about this team that become bigger talking points if we don't win for a while but are still very current issues as well.
They are themes that so far haven't really cost us, but might well do so at some point:
- Strikers not scoring or looking threatening particularly
- Open play chance creation is on the low side
- the sitting back approach, not that I deem it as deliberate, but it was there v Shrews and Rovers as well.

We're very much a team still in transition under Manning. It has been an excellent start thus far and we shouldn't lose sight of that.

Tuesday feels a tough ask given the obvious sign of illness in some of the players today.
Would be surprised if CamBran is available if he hasn't trained since Monday.
Smyth back available but otherwise you're picking from the same bunch again you would think if Henry/Woltman couldn't get in the squad despite the issues of this week.

Missed CamBran’s energy a lot in the second half. Blackpool were physical throughout and had some quality in midfield.

Subs input minimal.

Our goal was glorious, Rodrigues is now up to speed with League 1 and his touch and vision was superb, ( untill he ran out of legs.)

Our defence was again great and should be getting more praise.

Spoke to a Blackpool fan before game in burger queue and amused by his over confidence. ‘We won the FA Cup once, did you know that pal?

I said, yes I did and that it’s now time to move on from 1953. He was wearing orange DMS to boot.

Curious chap.

Anyway fwiw you were a decent team ‘pal’.
Well well well , the curious chap in the Docs was me and here is what we spoke about … the burger van queue , the burger van at the other end of the stadium , your missing stand , our support numbers , my journey re : bad weather , your visit to Bloomfield Road in the 70s and lets not forget my boots . What we didn’t discuss was the FA Cup and 1953 . You say lm a curious chap ? You are an out and out liar and look very foolish .
