He's just not a very good manager.
Did alright when he was in charge here in Australia with the Brisbane Roar, just before Covid hit.

Don’t quite get the amount of negativity around Fowler. Not my first choice, but if he gets the job he would get my full backing as well.

Agree. It would be a very peculiar fan who doesn’t give 100% backing to the new manager - whoever it might be.

Good, why not? We've all had female bosses and plenty of good managers haven't played at a high level of the men's game.

Let‘s be serious for a minute, if Scott got the job she’s getting it on the fact she’s a woman. Is that really enough to think she’s the right candidate for a L1 relegation scrap ? Pretty much any candidate from the current betting lists is going to be better equipped to try and drag an under performing, low on confidence, demoralised squad up off the floor.

A lot will have first hand experience of it as a player or manager and that will be vital in stabilising everything. I’m not dismissing the possibility that one of the women will land an EFL job at some point - in fact i think it very likely - but I’m not sure mid-season at a club free-falling towards the relegation zone is the right job, especially with the media frenzy that would accompany such an appointment.

Mark Warburton has come in from 33/1 to 20/1.

Late charge up the rails?

'A late charge up the rails' implies we're close to an appointment. We're nowhere near that. @Leysboy's bet has shortened those odds on Warburton.

I wouldn't get het up about McCann's 'failure' at Peterborough a second time around. No one can keep them in the Championship. They're a classic Champ/L1 yo-yo club nowadays with Rotherham just behind them. You can put Wigan in the same bracket too. You expect to play them one season in two.

It's all about having a manager who can take you up. If they're the person to keep you there, great. If not, be brutal and do an Adkins-to-Pochettino-style upgrade.

I find it fascinating. I only really know anything about most of the candidates through reading online and talking to fans I know. I also wonder where KR will end up.

Talk Sport I shouldn’t wonder. They’ll love his bullshit.

Unless I’m mistaken it looks like @Leysboy bet was placed on 31st December! So I don’t think it’s his bet that has shortened the odds.

I’m not saying that Warburton will get the job, just commenting on the odds coming in a little.

Quite simply we need someone to unite everyone again. Someone everyone will get behind. There have been too many rifts developed between fans and the club and also amongst each other. We need to end all toxicity as soon as possible and move on with positivity, optimism and excitement. The decision makers really need to take this into account. We need to avoid anything divisive. No matter what people say, the likes of Fowler and Murty will fall into that category. Supporters will be far from convinced because of a basic lack of experience of what is required and/or success.
