When you say "it's gonna happen now"
Well, when exactly do you mean?
See I've already waited too long
And all my hope is gone

And the fan base turns to stone waiting..🗿

At least we could have an empty chair and some cameras on stand by-----------

Very odd that the admins allow so much abusive content about LBS on this forum when they kept warning people not to put stuff about KR. Sort it out admins.

Re negative comments about the coaching staff - now they are all free to actually coach, people are will see the true outcome of their jobs.

This does sum up the issue that 24 hour news and social media creates - constant expectancy of something to happen.

Getting contracts produced, read by all relevant parties, items changed, finalised and then signed isn't a quick process. It never has been and never will be.
If Hogg is coming in as well, then he'll be doing the same thing as Manning. And perhaps therefore, Manning doesn't do the final signature until Hogg has as well.

Most likely the paperwork has been sent back and forth numerous times in the past 24 hours.
Majority of us on this forum have probably been exposed to having to wait on solicitors before - never quick.

It seems we have a lot of spoilt adults in our fan base who will stamp their feet and moan every time they don’t get their own way!
Appleton isn’t coming back, move on. I understand the glamour for it because of the recent success he brought to the club but what would have people said when he didn’t hit the ground running (which he has never done)?
Manning wouldn’t be my first choice but he would have been on the short list and having read up on some of his background then I’m more than happy to get behind him and see what he can bring to our club.

As for comments about not wanting to sing his name, well that’s just slightly petty as we all know people will be singing his name if he does well.
Jesus, the International Space Station’s been around the earth 4 or 5 times since those discussions were had!

And all the speculation doesn't help.
In the olden days you'd hear nothing from one manager being sacked to the next appointed.
Nowadays hearing x is interested raises expectations, which arent then met and people are disappointed by the outcome, which they wouldnt have been in the past.

Yes, 100 percent agree. At the end of the day not only are they trying to keep the players going, they have to do it with the knowledge that they might be losing their jobs with no idea where their next role will come from.

So... stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
There is no debate, no debate, no debate
How can you consciously contemplate
When there's no debate, no debate?
Stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
Stretch out and wait
Wait
Wait
Wait

Fans were underwhelmed and disappointed when we signed Chris Wilder. Little did they know he had done his thorough research on the club, players and tactics. He then presented a standout interview and proved he was the best for the position, we got promoted.

Fans were underwhelmed and disappointed when we signed Michael Appleton. Little did they know he had a desire to build his own squad with a promised promotion budget, had an identity, could work with recruitment to pick players with high potential and stamped his authority on our style of play, we got promoted.

Fans are now underwhelmed and disappointed with signing Liam Manning. Were you at the interviews? You have no idea what lengths this man has gone through, the research he's carried out on our club, our recruitment, our current games, tactics, strengths and weaknesses. His interviews could have blown them away, he could have demonstrated a desire to take this club to the next level that the other managers couldn't.

Michael Appleton was waiting for that opportunity to move to an ambitious club willing to give him the resources to build is own squad, Liam Manning now has that same opportunity. The board will back him with a promotion budget this summer, so the least we can do is back him to keep us in League One until then.

He has proven that, with the right players, he can play some of the best football in League One and come within 1 point of automatic promotion in the process. At his previous club, Lommel SK, he took over a club bottom of the league and guided them to a 3rd place finish, proving he has turned around a failing club before.

Obviously there are a few concerns, we are hurtling towards relegation in dreadful form after a shocking summer recruitment. MK (Sweeting) dismantled Mannings side and had a similarly awful summer transfer window and he couldn't turn their fortunes around. The main concern is staying up, so we've got to get behind him and the players now, we have 11 cup finals to stay in League One.

If we can just get to safety, Manning has that chance to build something special here and prove what he's capable of again. Now is the time to unite behind this manager, he has huge potential and we need to give him a platform, our support is essential to get us over the line and start planning for a League One title charge next season. I'm not ready to play the inbreds again just yet!

I’ve just bought an extra three tickets for Serby. Surely the club can announce it now on the back of that huge fan backing for tomorrow’s game?
