Don’t twist my words, just saying that I wouldn’t be singing Liam’s yellow/blue army, but would still be supportive of him/behind team.

Now you get back to your recuperation/rest in preparation for your op next week as I think that’s more important.
I am so firmly in the camp that's disappointed with anyone but Appleton.

The folk on here criticising us for wanting the fun nostalgia candidate sound like they spend their time sat in beige rooms weighing up which Volvo best represents their own sense of self-importance.

But if we appoint Manning, then he's Oxford and gets all the support and all the songs that 99% of potential managers would get. Absolute madness to suggest otherwise.

If Manning is brilliant then I'll happy get the beers in town after we seal promotion in 2024. If he's rubbish, we can go back to winding up Scotch Egg and giving the Execs pelters.

Supporting my club and getting behind a manager that has done nothing wrong yet, will never ‘bite me in the a**e’
Didn’t say anything about supporting the club or getting behind the manager.

But I can say I used to sing about Wilder’s Yellow/Blue Army which I sort of regret following his comments about the club/fans.

Didn’t say I would never sing it, just feel he needs to earn it first, but that still doesn’t stop me or others supporting him and of course the team.

If Bernards from Norwich, will Tim introduce him and go "heres our new manager" and out he jumps going "AAAH HAAAA!" doing jazz hands. I'd pay to see that.

Since when have we sung 'first name/ yellow blue army' anyway. Surely it's 'Manning's yellow/blue army'!!

It's all quite strange
I'd heard a decision was made Weds and photos taken
Was expecting the news yesterday
Not sure why announcement has been delayed but I guess there are good reasons

When I buy a bouquet of flowers, I don’t look for petals, I look for buds, and they don’t have to be daffodils for me to love them. But a great flower eventually leaves its scent throughout the room.

All I ask is for the club to make the announcement today.
Also for all the fans to get behind him and support him no matter how our season pans out. He’s left with a totally unbalanced squad with a history of some being crocks. No striker to speak off. So he has his work cut out if and it is an if he keeps us up great but with the tosh he’s inherited and he can’t then we still support him and hopefully non the summer he can recruit what we need.

Don’t think this is right, decision seems to have been made yesterday and definitely no photos etc on Wed as interviews with other candidates were still taking place

It seems we have a lot of spoilt adults in our fan base who will stamp their feet and moan every time they don’t get their own way!
Appleton isn’t coming back, move on. I understand the glamour for it because of the recent success he brought to the club but what would have people said when he didn’t hit the ground running (which he has never done)?
Manning wouldn’t be my first choice but he would have been on the short list and having read up on some of his background then I’m more than happy to get behind him and see what he can bring to our club.

As for comments about not wanting to sing his name, well that’s just slightly petty as we all know people will be singing his name if he does well.
