Knew it wouldn’t take long for you to pipe up.
Here’s an article that explains the fallacy quite well.

Cheers pal. Thanks for the update.

Reduces the impact but games are getting called off [emoji848] it begs the question if it’s really having the desired effect and if it is, are we living with isolation until the end of time? If this is the best we can expect, i’d ask whether it’s doing well enough.

Personally, i’m not buying it. Like you said in an earlier post, it’s all about personal choice. ATB [emoji106]
It happens.

My team here in Malaysia, 20 squad members and staff tested positive for Covid. We are currently in the Malaysia Cup phase and they have to forfeit the remaining games 3-0.

We will shortly be having booster shots here. As a Heart Attack survivor I run everything past my cardiologist, of which the evidence presented, strongly encourages vaccination and booster shots.

Like anything, we need to protect ourselves the best we can, exercise regularly, eat healthy, don't smoke and manage stress levels.

Health, life and families are more important than football. Football will always be here..

I like the idea of putting out some sort of scratch team but surely it wont be allowed if the players have been together on Friday.

There is reportedly 60,000 cases roughly everyday in Warsaw/Poland, and they have a specialised Covid-19 hospital. So some Polish people decided this didn’t seem right. They went to this Hospital and walked in, and found it to be completely empty, all the beds nice and tidy, with no patients at all, and only nurses and doctors along with cleaners and security workers.

People need to stop testing, and then we wouldn’t have these figures, I still believe we are being fed a pack of lies.

Just my opinion, but I for one will not wear a mask again, and I’m not a sheep. 🐑

Golly gosh 😂

A few weeks ago, just before half term, the ONS reported the weekly Covid rate in England as 1 in 50 - this was the joint highest ever recorded. The last time it was that high was back in January, which was basically before vaccinations had had any effect. Now compare the death figures in the January wave, with those now. Compare the hospitalisations in the January wave with those now. Compare the pre-lockdown January R number (shape of the growth curve) with that now. Cases are staying high, because R is hovering at about 1, and people are not really taking precautions any more. So there's this high baseline level, which tends to get worse whenever the schools are back, as kids are one of the largest unvaccinated groups. But in general, it's the vaccines that are stopping R from getting to more than about 1.3 at most at the moment.

And yet people ask, what have the vaccines ever done for us!

(And, sorry, but there's not much to say about the football right now!)

“Spreading it to others drastically reduces from being double jabbed”. Does it?

We’re at 50,000 cases a day at present. I’ve personally been double jabbed and have encountered covid twice. Does it drastically reduce the chances of spreading it? I’m not convinced but do appreciate your point of view.
41k not at 50k, yet...

No, that's the Marie Celeste you're thinking of.

Was a boat not a hospital. (y)

Thank you all you Professor Wittys and Jonathan Van Tams out there next time I want to know anything I will look on here first 😀

Looking forward to Tuesday
Do we have to put a team out if we have 7 of the squad down and have no goalkeeper available
Surely if we have to put out an understrength side because of COVID that is unfair

I think when we beat Lincoln towards the end of last season they had at least that many out. This will end up coming down to how many more test positive tomorrow and whether we can sort out an emergency keeper.
