I'm hoping for the playoffs but im yet to be convinced we have enough to do it
No, I am not doing it for reaction. I am genuinely concerned about where Tiger’s ownership will take us. I thought his statements in the first few weeks were ridiculous, and they reminded me (in a very bad way) of early Kassam and his ‘journey’. Quite a lot of people seem to be confusing housekeeping with investment. Renting a training ground, getting a shirt sponsor, changing kit suppliers- this is not investment, this is basic bau (‘business as usual’). And as for the new u23 team, I am baffled. It doesn’t play in a league , and it doesn’t seem to be any different from the team that played friendlies last season with a mixture of academy and pros not in the first team. Tiger made a lot of very odd statements in his first few weeks- from ‘wow’ to (I paraphrase here) ‘my ambitions exceed yours’. Both statements implied that he was going to invest very heavily. But if you look at transfer fees in and out since he officially took over, he has banked just over £1m and has spent (maybe) £100k. And btw, I still haven’t seen any evidence that he ‘bankrolled’ player purchases before he took over. So, I am perfectly entitled to hold these views and also point out that our star signings appear to be loanees. I thought Eales sold very carelessly, and it was a great shame after the way he had managed the club in his tenure. But whatever your views of Eales, you cannot deny that he spent money proper money on players, and brought in a calibration of permanent player we hadn’t seen for years. So that’s my view- more than happy to have a proper debate about it, but there is little point if all I, or others who post similar views, just receive a torrent of abuse......not from this poster btw, but plenty of others including the chap with a limited vocabulary who posted a couple of hours agoI don't mind people jumping on overly negative/miserable posts for a laugh (kip has quite a few of those, that's fair game). But sometimes those posters make reasonable remarks, and their reputation still causes people to go crazy at them.
Kip and Hawk have made some headway with posts to make me feel they are true fans that just tend to skew miserable. Mellowyellow and malcolmsmustache though still just seem like they're doing it for a reaction.
And who's your Premier team?

I think that there a couple of big errors in your assumptions. And you don't seem to listen to KR.No, I am not doing it for reaction. Maybe I am just a cynic, but given Tiger’s apparent reluctance (thus far) to make significant investments in players, I find it literally unbelievable that he would spend £400k on two players before he bought the club. And don’t forget it would be in Eales interests to ‘big up’ his prospective purchaser. I will admit that I have been very suspicious of Tiger from day one. In fact from before that- I don’t want to open up the possibly libellous pre appointment thread, but if even 10% of the stuff on there is correct, there is legitimate cause for concern. I honestly think we have seen loads of spin and very little actual delivery. Ultimately it’s all about the players we are bringing in. And we are bringing in a mixture of loanees, old pros and a couple of semi pro punts. That’s all well and good, but it’s a very very long way from what we were promised......What evidence do you need? Genuinely curious. If both men stated they were funded by Tiger, what more do you want? And if they weren't funded by Tiger, don't you think that Darryl would have required a higher purchase price for the club, to factor in these new players he just bought? Or were they just a £250k freebie? Again, genuinely curious.
Great. But it’s a facility rented from the council. It is nothing to do with Tiger and his investment.....I think that there a couple of big errors in your assumptions. And you don't seem to listen to KR.
The permanent training base is not BAU. It sounds like we will have one of The best set ups in the league. A shame you didn't go to the Oxvox meeting with the Head of the Academy explaining the huge benefits to the club in having a quality permanent training ground, something we have never had before... and

Are you using Tapatalk?I can't seem to do a poll for some reason but I wondered what people expected from this coming season?
