How to complete the season

I quite like the idea of 3rd and 4th having home advantage, versus 5th and 6th, then have a final to decide who goes up. It’s quite possible to play 3 games quickly. For the three EFL divisions.

OUFC v Fleetwood final, and we finally beat them when it matters. ?

Quite apart from anything, wouldn’t anyone else like to see the season voided just to deny Liverpool and That Lot their probably first league titles in years?? It would be GLORIOUS.

And yes we’ll not get a promotion that looked very possible, but hey, if and when there’s a ‘next’ season, thanks to the Fosu/Baptiste sales we’ll probably be in a better financial position than many to make a decent stab at it!

No, what be glorious is the whole plastic premiershit being wiped out...

Nothing in this massive, festering, ongoing, passing-the-buck, chasing-the-cash, overhasty, underthought sh*t show of a situation is going to be "glorious"...

Official...Bundesliga starts behind closed doors on 15th May.
Not a huge fan of the idea, but hey ho.

I stand corrected, Bury were indeed expelled on 27th August 2019 having failed to fulfil their matches to that point and I believe the original club is still trading, so as things stand, they would be back in the game.

Whether they can satisfy the EFL that they can complete their fixtures this term is another story - still no record away win though.......
As long as Bolton still start with a buys 12 points

It won't happen...

I dunno, there is thinking behind it. Germany has seen a proper thaw of the restrictions today.
Bound to be trouble ahead whatever happens though (aside from the moral question of pushing through with this while kindergartens stay shut, for example).

Politicians are very soon going to have to choose between easing the lockdown earlier than they would like, risking thousands of extra infections, or keeping the lockdown until there is a vaccine for all and killing the economy. An impossible dilemma, as we have discussed many times, but I think we know where the most votes lie.

Football will probably therefore be back relatively quickly in some form whether we like it or not.

Sure you can see it will not really happen though, it's all posturing because off the money involved.

It's just the the plastic premiershit, it's the £ or bust!

I think you’re probably right, given the 6-800 deaths a day has been occurring for several weeks, it’s almost the ‘new normal’ and if that is maintained going forward, a lot of the population will prefer that to further periods of lockdown and losing their livelihood.

Has there been any updates? I'm hearing Premier League and Championship will resume but League 1 and 2 won't.

If it went on Points Per Game is that us out of the top 3?

Of course they may well void the season and only allow relegation from and promotion to the EPL.

If points per game is done simplistically ignoring home and away differences then we would be out of the top 3. If home ppg, and away ppg are calculated separately and then rolled forward then I think we’re 3rd.

Cheers mate.

God knows what they will decide and when!
