National News Boris Johnson - Ousted Former PM

Are you getting that narrative from priti Patel or Richie Sunak . This isn’t about race its xenophobia and nationalism and it has racists in it ( Boris and his letterbox spring to mind) but it isn’t necessarily racist…yet.

I could really go off on one about how Boris, Priti and Richie are one of us but thats a another story.
I`m trying to work out if its possible to be a nationalist without being racist and i`m having a hard time seperating the
two tbh. In the definition could it not be argued that, to the detriment of other nations, is actually a form of racism ?

Btw, i enjoy your posts, they add value and im not in any way having a pop at you.

Mid term bi elections don’t mean much more of a protest vote but wait till the GE then we will see how much the country feel different to the previous election.
If Boris is still in charge then he’s on for a good spanking unless he and the rest of the government come up with something that is eye watering and gets the backing of the country.
If however if he is ousted and a more decent politician is voted in by their colleagues then that might be enough for them to be re-elected.

Time will tell. Who knows it may even be another woman……something that Labour will never do and I doubt whether the Libdems will ever have either.

On another note hearing from the Ukraine that the first in to help after the invasion were the British.
They've been coming up with eye-watering stuff for the last two and a bit years. .....

Tax rises, Highest tax burden in decades, law breaking, partygate, dodgy funding for number 10 flat refurbs, cash for questions, dodgy jobs for friends and family in senior governmental roles, trying protect bent MPs like Owen Patterson on the take, dodgy PPE contracts and the shady "express lane", test & trace etc, changing/denuding parliamentary standards prinicples, ignoring independent enquiry findings on conduct and bullying, still no justice for Grenfell victims, putting the Russian Oligarchy in the House of Lords, watching porn in the House of Commons, taking dodgy Russian money to fund the party and allowing billions in Russian money to be laundered through the city, screwing up Brexit and ignoring the NIP agreement they signed "in good faith", ripping up Human Rights and removing fundamental facets of the right to protest, setting workers against strikers, criminalising and de-humanising refugees and asylum seekers . . . etc, etc, etc. . . . . .

It's about time they tried eye-catching instead :ROFLMAO:

We will have to wait and see in 2024
But responding to your Asylum seekers with the anout that are arriving, how long before the Infrastructure collapses and struggle to house them?

Infrastructure is more likely to collapse due to the chronic underfunding of the last 12 years than anything to do with the amount of people coming to live here.

Lack of housing is more likely due to the Government having not met its targets once since they set them (not to mention all those foreign investors who have flooded in to the market to buy bricks and mortar as a sound investment, only for them to be left vacant. And shall we mention those areas of the country (such as the South West or The Lake District) where locals cannot now afford to live because of the buoyancy of the second home market?

And how about the 1million plus people who are no longer economically active (mostly because they can afford not to be) and are therefore not contributing much to the public purse in terms of tax and NI contributions?

Bojo goes on about recruiting 20,000 police officers, but neglects to tell you that the Tories had already got rid of 21,000

Services have been systematically cut to the bone in just about every single facet....and yet it is the "massive" influx of refugees that will break the system - Sorry Bazzer, but this is the true face of Project Fear I'm afraid!

The problem the Tories now have is that nobody believes a word they say and therefore the only ones who will vote for them are those prepared to hold their nose, ignore any shred of conscience and put up with this continued pattern of behaviour.

And before anyone comes back and suggests "they're all at it", they are just as bad as each other, that is simply not true. It's another untruth peddaled by the usual media suspect to try and normalise the industrial scale dishonesty of this government, because THEY fear what the alternative might mean for them and their chums.

The Tory party manifesto for the next general election with Boris at the helm writes itself: Find any wedge issue you can and drive division as hard as you can. It's Trump for dummies.

I'm just hopeful that enough people have had enough of it and do vote with their conscience, because almost ANYTHING (as long as it doesn't involve Farage or other little Englanders) will be better than the current sorry excuse for a government.

I think xenophobia exists without race involvement. Generally we don’t as a nation like the french or the Germans not because they are white or European or catholic or anything else just because they are French and german. It’s not racism it’s xenophobia.
This government are making mischief for their own benefit and don’t need a flag of either to do it under.
They stir up trouble so that we’re looking at migrants in boats or French fishermen or Russians or Muslims who could be terrorists and all the time they’re changing the rules and pocketing a load of money on the side.

it’s for the benefit of their sponsors and stakeholders not us that they are doing it.

Kein Starmer can’t draw much comfort from last night. Their vote slumped In Honiton.
Can’t see him being next PM either. Stranger things have happened.
I wonder if Angela Rayner will get a fixed penalty fine and Starmer keeps his job

Tactical voting.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse for the Tories, up pops Suella Braverman with some real smooth-brained thinking about how it is both disappointing and dishonest that people voted tactically in the two by-elections and that there is a "dishonest electoral pact between Labour and the Lib-Dems"
So not like when you bought the DUP vote?

Or when you had a pact with the Brexit Party/UKIP to not stand in each others way?

Or when you entered into a coalition with the Lib Dems?

Well I guess the demand for housing will continue to drive up prices and rental yields for landlords .

Because around 12k (according to the Daily Mail as of yesterday) so far this year are going to have such an impact....

So far this year….. has the issue suddenly been resolved then? Or is that number just going to continue to increase .

So yes, it is a problem that is only going to escalate.

Escalate?

It will be a very, very tiny pressure which won't even register compared to the impact of such issues as mentioned by Sheik Djibouti, or not building appropriate housing to what is needed.

I think I’m that was tactical voting and if it was it’s a Shame it’s resorted to that
