The "sitter" he missed was a fantastic piece of interplay between him and Rodrigues. His run was perfectly timed. he should have scored- just as Harris should in the first half, but the chance existed because of his perfectly timed run.

In any case as we are going to be without Browne, Edwards and Mills for the next few games he and Goodrham are the only wide attacking options we have. And Sometimes we are going to need his strength and experience.

Fosu is still available. :D

Moore has been outstanding in every fixture so far this. He seems to have gone up a level and looks unflappable.
Beagle for me, was MOTM.

Exactly this. I was stunned to read quite damning criticism of him based on him being slow. He's so composed on the ball, his passing seems to have stepped a level up. He's always in the right place at the right time. Got to be one if not the best CB in League 1 at the moment. Colossal!

It was reported on the official club Facebook page yesterday lunchtime after the teams were announced that TG had an illness. Obviously some miscommunication somewhere in the club.
Possibly, but whatever it is was enough to send him to A&E at the JR on Friday lunchtime.

Murphy and Mills had the beating of the full back every time , which is a great attribute to have, and generally used the ball well. Murphy missed an absolute sitter though he was offside. Overall it was a great game and a real Derby atmosphere
From the TV I thought he was inside and it was all very well timed. Mills also looked lively but his lack of experience showed with the red, not getting up for their goal (which I think looked a foul) and to an extent not waiting for contact when he chopped inside their defender in the box and he came sliding in like a madman but hopefully he'll learn.

Perhaps it was just rustiness from Mills and Murphy. Probably should have given them 20 minutes on Tuesday when 2-0 up against 10 men who had given up 😉

For the first ten minutes I thought we’d be lucky to get anything from the game. After Bodin’s goal I said we’d definitely need a second to give us any chance of a result. Given the standard of refereeing, was quite surprised they didn’t get a thoroughly undeserved penalty. Had a good view of the incident and there was no contact. Given there was neither contact nor penalty was even more amazed there was no booking. Was still thinking we were second best at halftime. LM’s substitution/re-organisation at halftime showed he was on top of the situation. We were the better team for most of the second half and, despite the referee’s efforts, deserved the three points. Lessons need to be learned obviously but we’re where we are in the table on merit.

I haven’t been to many away games this season but Bristol Rovers are the best team I’ve seen so far.

We have to make clear that any sort of dissent, kicking the ball away, etc. will be clamped down on. The rule are clear and obvious. Just don't do it.
Well…. not ANY. Apparently you can curse and shout abuse at the referee if a decision goes against you. You just have to play in the premiership.

The red for Mills was ridiculously harsh. Watched it back a few times and I don’t think that’s a red. It might look a bit clumsy but he’s not out of control and clearly wins the ball. If there are grounds for appealing I think that will be overturned.
And their player got straight up to take the throw/carry on! There was more remonstration for what their players did to Mills, than from their team what Mills to to him!!

Also thought both Smyth’s bookings were harsh. The second one seemed to be momentum with very low risk of kicking the ball away as such. I feel the reason/interpretation that this new rule came into play isn’t being adhered correctly e.g. I even felt Brannagan’s booking for the same reason was very harsh too. I can understand a playing getting booked when the opposition are either trying to get the ball/take a quick free kick if a player then kicks the ball away, but not in the general motion of the kick or none of the oppositions players nearby/trying to get the ball etc.

It did. The linesman put his flag up to indicate a goal kick.
Correct. If it was offside the flag would’ve gone straight up in the air and the linesman wouldn’t have moved from being in line with where the offence occurred. He kept his flag down and ran with Murphy before raising it straight out in front of him to indicate a goal kick, which was then taken from inside the six yard box. You can also see Harris look across, see that the flag is down and then put his head in his hands when the ball subsequently gets shanked a mile wide of the post.

It was a horrendous and completely onside miss. One that reduced the entire stadium including the Rovers fans to stunned silence.

Yeah but it set up a tense final 30 minutes, didn't it?

Worth it if you ask me.

Collins reminds me of that annoying Pompey player (can’t for the life of me remember his name) that has the talent but obviously not the desire/attitude or would already be playing at a higher level.
My view - you couldn’t be further from the truth. He’s a good lad with bags of talent and a down to earth attitude, I coached him at junior level not long before he moved to Wolves. Trains well and was outstanding the last 2 seasons. He’s very much in the Joey mould in that he’s happy playing near where he and his family live. I can see him being another to cross over to Bristol City in January.
