Do you think they’re sitting on their hands wondering what to do? I don’t. The board know the timeline between now until the end of the season so I’d rather they took as long as they need to make the right choice.

I agree, which is why I’m surprised about what I’ve been told about how the process is likely to play out over the next few days. Makes me wonder if there is a candidate who hasn’t been spoken to yet.

I wonder why that was?

It’s almost as if they were deliberately down playing the likelihood of any return.

Expectation management?
That’s not their job.

Their opposition seemed largely based on a desire to look forwards, not backwards and the risk of sullying his historical status.

Also it would be good to know 100% who's applied for the job. I mean who's the mystery man.??????

Agree it‘s not their job, but when the clamour on here is for Appleton and not one of the RadOx panellists is in favour just seems a bit out of line with the fan base.

I’m probably reading too much into it!

Didn't MAPP jump ship for the assistant coach vacancy, at Leicester was it and some of you want him back ! Everyone has there price MAPP is no exception a judas as far as I'm concerned!!

Bit more to it than that as mentioned in previous post that I don't have time to find and link to (not that I'd know how to do the last bit).

Does that mean every manager or player who didn’t retire at the club is a Judas?

Do you know it was about his salary? I think someone said he left because he was promised a budget that didn't materalise

Judas - really?

As fans, we have one club for life and so feel huge loyalty to OUFC. Players and managers are transient employees of a number of clubs. Appleton was offered a 150% pay rise to take up a position at a Premier League Club where he would work with players like Vardy and Maddison on a daily basis. He also had less pressure in the role due to being the Assistant Manager rather than the main man. If you got offered a 150% pay rise to move to a better firm in a role with less pressure, what would you do?
