Is if just me that finds Crewe fans jumping in weird? Absolutely nothing that that club can can say to any other with their history.
They can justifiably give us a kicking if we cry off Tuesday. We didn't have a keeper today so that's different but if we can get one in on an emergency loan there's no reason not to give it our best shot on Tuesday.

I'm disappointed with ours fans reluctance to play to be honest especially when we all probably got stuck into Crewe and Swindon last season.

But Crewe have done a lot worse? I mean seriously worse? Like employ a nonce for years.

The problem with blaming/punishing unvaccinated players who catch covid is that there’s a lot of other factors as well. What if a fully vaccinated player goes out to pubs, clubs and theatre performances every chance he gets, never wearing a mask, never washing his hands, and catches Covid… is there not an element of blame there? What if he then, after catching it at a crowded concert, gives it to his unvaccinated teammate during training who almost never goes out and always wears a mask when he does? We just castigate the careful but unvaccinated one?

With them players all having Covid, we will need the next two games to be off!!

Plus more players must get a positive test, it's obvious been spread amongst the players.

So, given the list of those ruled out, then aside from the keeper issue we could still field a decent line up:
GK tba
RB Hanson/Williams (injured?)
Lb Seddon
CB long, McNally
Cm Gorrin, Kane, bran
Fw henry, Agyei, Holland
Subs mcguane, cooper, Whyte, goodrham, Hanson/Williams +2 youngsters

Unsubstantiated, eh? If you have the intelligence to actually understand this simple graph, the facts are as clear as day. If you need more data to substantiate my point, I have plenty.

You do realise the same weekly report from the ONS actually has a whole section on vaccine effectiveness, which contradicts your conclusions from the above data?
There's also a direct quote in the report as follows:

"Comparing case rates among vaccinated and unvaccinated populations should not be used to estimate vaccine effectiveness
against COVID-19 infection. Vaccine effectiveness has been formally estimated from a number of different sources and is
summarised on pages 5 to 8 in this report."

It's at the top of page 24 of the the latest version of the report: https://assets.publishing.service.g...34383/Vaccine-surveillance-report-week-46.pdf

I wonder what the owners of the club - whoever they are - ( no, let’s not go
there tonight), think about this 7 man plus covid outbreak?

‘Not thrilled’ would be my guess.

‘Not thrilled’ would be my guess.

They probably recognise that the club has worked exceptionally hard to protect players and staff and minimise the impact of covid, whilst acknowledging that the physical closeness of sporting professionals means that any one case can quickly become an outbreak.

They won't be panicking and looking for someone to blame like some of our posters.

Exactly, won't be easy but its still possible to out out a team capable of winning. Especially if they have a seige mentality and the get decent backing from us in the stands. Get it on OUFC!

NOt sure what you mean by that really, it’s very random and hard to avoid. My wife caught it in a nice hotel in Southwold while I was negative

‘Panicking and looking for someone to blame’ seems to be becoming the default mode on here, and in society generally
