Ex Player Obscure OUFC XI

I'd forgotten about this, well worth reading this thread in it's entirety. Started off sounding reasonable but quickly devolved into talk of giving him a smelting furnace in his honour before signing off with a selfie of him and his uncle. I'd be more than happy for @latvia.United to return under another name, the funniest wind up merchant I can recall.
Agreed, funniest thread of all time 😂

Yemi Obudabe - my favourite ever Oxford player and I had my son photographed with him when my son appeared as the club mascot once. I still have that photo and it is signed by Yemi.

In April 2009, new manager and complete anti football tosser Wilder opted not to renew Odubade's contract at the Kassam Stadium due to "the financial terms in his contract", as well as him playing a peripheral role during the 2008–09 season, and the player was told he was allowed to leave the club on a free transfer. During his three and a half-year tenure at Oxford, Odubade made 149 appearances, scoring 33 goals.
lovely image in my mind of you booing the team at Wembley the year after and telling Wilder he’d never amount to anything if that’s how he treats his best players

Andy Harris. Had one first half back in the 90’s

I can remember the French player Norman
Sylla scoring for fun in our reserves/youth team. Never got a look in though!
Club (Atkins?) opted for Jefferson Louis instead....

Paul Lundin
Christoph Remy
Chris Whyte
Abdou Sall
Tenali
Comminelli
Ryan Bird
Phill Gray
Marco Gabbadini
O’Neill Donaldson

Ray Gaston - 12 appearances 2 goals, went back to Northern Ireland
But before he went back he was playing for the Shotover Arms in the Sunday League. I will always remember him clearing the London Road stand with a shot at goal from 10 yards out.

Osei Yaw being our top goalscorer in the first few months of the 20/21 season, despite not being registered to play league games, was a strange one.

Even stranger when you consider the fact that he has since become the 4th funniest poster on YellowsForum.
I'm intrigued by this league table of "funniest posters" you're maintaining!

Pal Lundin was technically a really good keeper. Had played at a pretty decent level. But he clearly had no interest at all by the time he came to us. Retired after appearing for us and (this is true) became a professional wrestler.

Didn't he take a penalty that cleared the Beech Road as well?

Correction. Played a bit more in Sweden. And then turned to wrestling!

I've done some investigations into my "OUFC obscure 11" to see what they're all up to these days.

Wondering if m ever made it to the end of the clubmusuem
I don't know. I've been to the clubmusuem 7 times and still haven't managed to see all of it.

Wouldn't consider Michael Corcoran as being obscure, he was a regular part of our team (starting or on the bench) for the year or so he was part of the club.

I'd suggest for his brief time here most who were watching at the time will likely still remember Craig Nelthorpe as he was a nutter so anything could happen on the pitch with him.

Bloody hell, has no-one told you?

It was bulldozed to make way for the 'Karl Land Theme Park'. No-one who has yet been on the flagship roller coaster has escaped without life-changing injuries.
