Shame Lawrence was out penultimate ball of the day in the 90's.
A good day for England though

Stokes and Root batting impressively albeit on what looks like a pitch with absolutely no life in it at all.

If you are able to, you might want to find a stream and watch this from Stokes...

369/3 Day 2 Lunch

Stokes 89 not out off 92 balls, and Root on 151 not out.

Day 2 tea. England 482/6

Another quick 50-100, and put them in for the last hour or so, and try to make in roads in to there batting line up. Hopefully bat once, but it’s a very flat pitch offering very little.

c'mon England get another wicket (or 2) before the looking like inevitable and looming rain stops play

Raises the question for me - Flintoff or Stokes?

Stokes undoubtedly the better batsman.....Freddie the better bowler.

We wouldn't have got the Ashes back in 2005 without Freddie (his performance at Edgbaston was still, to my mind, the greatest all-round performance by an England cricketer in my lifetime)....but we wouldn't have won the World Cup without Stokes, and would have lost the Ashes in 2019 (although we still didn't get the urn back)......

West Indies 238/3

Saqib Mahmood bowls Blackwood, but over stepped, giving away a no ball.

Very flat pitch this. If I was a Batsman I’d be licking my chops.
