157-5. Lead 374.

Thay pitch is just starting to do some interesting things. One to Root shot along the deck, a few moved sideways, Buttler was almost cut in half first ball. Should only get harder to bat on from here.

160-6 - Jos Buttler out. Need Wood/Woakes/Broad to do their thing again.:)

Stokes, Buttler and Curran came out playing in 1 day mode.

234-8, lead creeps past 450.Root approaching 50, Wood throwing the bat, 18 off 11

SA have passed the 100 run point ( currently 106-2 after 36 overs) .... England need a wicket or two to stop SA batsmen building more of a partnership

Woakes into the bowling attack ... and already roughing up the SA batsmen :sneaky:

SA batsmen digging in 168-2 after 55 overs now ..... England need to get a wicket or two, and sharpish

Stokes strikes, 3rd one gone. Getting edgy isn't it.

At last , a wicket.... Stokes got the breakthrough, taking Du Plessis' wicket on 35 ... SA 181-3 now

We are so reliant on Stokes.
They have a long tail and we should still win easily.

And another! Van der Dussen goes for 98 to Wood. Need de Kock and that should be it.

once one wicket goes it can trigger something of a domino effect , heres hoping we can skittle the remaining SA wickets fairly cheaply

5th wicket down. Anyone know how Phillander is doing? Will he come out to bat, hamstring tear wasn't it?

Wrapped it up pretty quickly towards the end with the wickets tumbling. What a difference Wood makes on a flat pitch. And that's a really good series win when you consider half the team was struck down with illness on the eve of the first test, and Stokes' dad being in intensive care and how that must have affected him etc. Very impressive.
