Just to pick up on this, they have just said on the (awful) Talksport commentary, that Root is being rested and will come back into the side in the future. I hope that's right!

He will as on top of the batting he can be a 2nd spin option as well.

It's interesting watching India deviate from their usual template, and trying to play the game with our style, blast out of the gates and try to put the opposition under pressure instead of steady build up and go for it last 10 overs.

I'm working so only able to see the BBC updates. Still part of me looks at the scoring rate and panics that India might be getting 300+!!! Seems like only a few years ago where 5 an over was evidence of a team throwing the bat around!!!
