CWC 19: England V New Zealand

Boult is in his 8th over.
That was a really terrible shot from Buttler.

Buttler out.
England in a spot of bother
dammit ...that wasnt in the script ... hope NZ arent getting a foothold.... need a partnership of sorts ... hopefully Stokes, batting on his 'home' ground will steady the ship?

think 380-400 is very unlikely the way things stand ... hopefully 35--360 still on? .... 15 overs to go

England would definitely settle for 350 now.
320 may be more likely.
In the past few games when the new balls get a little older it appears to be more difficult to score quickly.
England have a better bowling attack so need to get a defendible total

Boult it appears is being kept back with his 2 remaining overs to bowl at the death

Santner bowls a maiden ... mid way through a 50 over odi , unusual that is

and another over with a low number of runs off it:cautious:

has the pitched slowed down? ... the (white) ball softened up making it harder to play strokes? ... a combination of the 2, ...or are NZ bowlers on top form ? ... whichever it is England run rate restricted on the last 4 overs ... 60 balls /10 overs left ... 241-4

When the ball gets softer it appears that it is lot harder to score.
320 may be an OK score.

Stokes out.
He was being frustrated. 300 may be the score now ...

oh bollox .... that wasnt in the script either ... 300 or just over may be a tad optomistic the way NZ have bowled recently ...8 overs left 248-5 .... Stokes getting just 11 off 27 speaks volumes on how hard it is scoring on a slow pitch facing a soft ball

I think the pitch has definitely slowed a touch. England almost just need to push it around and just milk a run a ball from now on, rather than go for the big hits and getting out

42 balls left to face , not yet reached 250 .... concerning n worrying last 7 overs then ... c'mon England, this is a must win match
