Me too, he's obviously not got deep scars from England teams of the past ? Gatting and the reverse sweep in the final... Still makes me shudder.liking the optimism![]()
It's true tho when we're on song no team can match us. BELIEVEMe too, he's obviously not got deep scars from England teams of the past ? Gatting and the reverse sweep in the final... Still makes me shudder.

The truth is that when the batting works (and generally when we bat first) we look an excellent side - but we are prone to losing clusters of wickets in the middle order for not many. That's OK if the top three have made some runs, but if they've gone cheaply we are in trouble. The bowling is OK (but this isn't really a 'bowling' competition in the main), nothing spectacular.
So you are right, it's 'when we are on song' - and that's been a bit hit and miss (no pun intended) this WC.
Dont buy that, weve chased for the past 4 years, these conditions as they are now I'm confident we can both.Depends if we win the toss and bat 1st. Bat 1st we win, bat 2nd we lose.
He'll fire when we really need him to. Cant wait for next ThursdayAlso, don't put Buttler ahead of Morgan to speed up the run rate. Morgan is a damn good ODI player, but gets himself in first generally, and can easily score at a fast rate so keep Buttler for later (even though his form isn't great at the mo).
And Liam Plunkett. We have won every game he has played in this WC. When Mo replaced him we won 1 and lost 3. He is one of, if not the best middle order bowler in ODI's.Think it has shown how important Roy is to the side (Surrey Scum ?). Perhaps we should give him a go in the tests? Just a thought...
I just hope that Thursdays wicket is a flat one and not a turning wicket. And Liam Plunkett. We have won every game he has played in this WC. When Mo replaced him we won 1 and lost 3. He is one of, if not the best middle order bowler in ODI's.
Just glad we got there in the end. We need performances like the last two and then we can win it.
Best middle over bowler in the world in the last 4 years, they showed his stats yesterdayAnd Liam Plunkett. We have won every game he has played in this WC. When Mo replaced him we won 1 and lost 3. He is one of, if not the best middle order bowler in ODI's.

Can't see Morgan changing it now regardless, only change he may make is Rashid, he's been awfulI just hope that Thursdays wicket is a flat one and not a turning wicket.
England are better with Plunkett as opposed to a misfiring Moeen, but if was a spinning wicket v India it would be a very difficult choice.
