If there is one ground where you have a chance of defending 250 in this country it's Lords. But I wasn't confident at the halfway stage! Best ever figures for an England bowler in ODIs - well done Topley, absolutely brilliant. Willey also bowled very well up front in partnership with him, those 2 gave nothing away in the first few overs and really frustrated the usually free scoring Sharma, Dhawan, Pant.

Smirking Kohli has just been dismissed and India are 43 - 3 in reply (8 overs).

You can tell that’s an old England card there no Yorkshire batsmen lots not iout!! I know they both got0 today and yes they were s**t with the ball yesterday.
I think we will get decent players this window but if we fish in the same ponds as Derby Ipswich and Wednesday we will kill our club and the authorities would not go as easy on us as Derby. We have to use different methods and a little bit of patience is required. We will finish above many clubs who have already signed loads of players.

Respect to Pandya and Pant here. They’ve had to be uncharacteristically patient. England need to make something happen as these two aren’t going to make a mistake presently. They’re starting to find a boundary each over too that will only boost confidence.

Get two wickets and you’re into a tail so this game could turn. Right now, India look the most likely - and that’s annoying.

I think he'll go to the T20 world Cup in October then just do Tests.

Not really!

The England OD team seems to have gone considerably backwards since Morgan retired.
Hopefully they are finding their identity and it is a blip (although Morgan clearly was a great captain)

I was really annoyed with myself last season when, despite everything that there is to hate about the Hundred, I ended up watching most of it!
I suspect the same will happen this year.

The only good thing about the tournament is that it is on terrestrial TV so could get an audience interested in the game which the traditional Sky/BT coverage can't reach. Hopefully then some of the new fans could upgrade to a better format of the game.

Maybe, but creating franchise “teams” rather sticking with the traditional county teams doesn’t help build allegiance.
