+++ 9/7/18 Portmarnock v OUFC +++

Agree Baptiste & Napa are much improved.
Carruthers looks good.
Norman promising.
Even with our numbers, I think Canice may go out on loan,still unable to do the “basics” well.

Really don't think Canice is Robinson's favourite player, screaming at him in the first and second match at different times for all sorts. Coupled with the comments about him not coming along last season as much as expected and I could see a loan move being sorted. I thought he looked good yesterday though at the base of the diamond.

Having said that, that new CM we brought on in the second half, think his name was Kerry or Derry or something is great at penalties ;)

That was a very impressive result against a very strong Irish team. Portmarnock are no mugs! No injury concerns, and a clean sheet. Very solid performance.

I can’t see why people are worried. This team has the hallmarks of a top 6 finish this season.
I wud be happy with top half. Push on 19/20 promotion party.

I appreciate the update.
Movement noticeably better across the park, McMahon looks good attacking, Little a good runner (James too). Stevens pulled off two cracking saves yesterday. Brannagan was excellent in the first game, his movement and touches were a level above. Obika in the middle by himself is holding the ball well, but missed a couple of sitters before his goals last night.

Standout performances for me from Baptiste and Napa. Baptiste an awesome runner with the ball, maybe better than Rothwell, and the 3 assists yesterday show how eager to get forward he is. If he keeps it up he'll be first team by end of season.
Napa looks like a new player. Still not as bulky as may be needed, but Robinson has obviously filled the lad with confidence, much more running at defenders and really looks to be enjoying it.
I appreciate the update. Thank you.

How is the beer? Apart from expensive, that is!

Worth the price - it's been lovely. Not a massive beer drinker at home though, usually stick to spirits, but would be rude not to sample it over here. More of a cider drinker and that definitely hasn't disappointed although I don't appreciate the dry grounds. Looking forward to seeing Singha at GR.

Anyone found the online coverage? Can't find it anywhere

Don’t write him off just yet. Decent supply, a decent run off games, stay fit. Ok staying fit might be a problem. He could save us a fortune if it happened
