Up to pie country for a game under lights.

Need to defend much better than in the Second half V Blackpool, maybe not sit back so deep?

And capitalise on chances created

I fancy we'll nick a 1-2 win and back to winning ways

Ref Watch - David Rock is tomorrow nights referee

over 10 matches this season he's issued 34 yellow cards and 3 red cards

3-1 to the yellas.

Looking forward to it. Let’s see what Wigan has about it on a Tuesday night 🤣.

Very decent advanced sales of 550 with pay on the gate available, too.

This year's Wigan side does not look like the one they had last time they were in League One (when they spent money they didn't have to field a team of third tier all stars). They lost most of their names in the summer, presumably to cut costs (Keane, McClean, Power, Darikwa, Whatmough etc. etc.)

Eight of their starting XI on Saturday were 23 or younger. Though some of them have a pretty impressive pedigree (one of their centre halves is a Scottish guy that Bayern Munich signed away from Celtic). One of their few older geezers is our old friend Sean Clare!

So suspect they'll be athletic, talented but a bit green. We've won tougher away games already this year......

Can’t see us improving within a couple of days of a difficult draw.

Wigan Athletic 1 - Oxford United 1.

Wigan aren't anywhere near as good as Blackpool, and we're way better than Exeter. Just to give perspective.

Another three nil win for the Ewes.

The stats from Exeter City 0-2 Wigan Athletic two days ago.

How exactly did they manage to score two goals with only one shot on target if neither of them was an og???

Seems like a misclick somewhere from whomever was doing the stats counting!

Also Exeter really need some new shooting boots!

Big overreaction on here from some to a poor second half on Saturday. That's as bad as we've played for a long time against a decent team and we still got a point, Wigan are nothing special and we should be looking to go there and win.

Agreed, comfortable win.

Second was an own goal. Not seen it but apparently the big moment in the game was Yanic Wildschut staying on his feet when fouled in the area.

It’s a really young Wigan team, especially in midfield. They’d lost a few in a row before Saturday and were lucky to see that one out. I just hope we’ve got enough in the tank because I think they’ll let us play a bit.
