Away Match Day Thread 01/03/22 L1: Portsmouth v OUFC

2 red cards in the Wigan game. 1 aside

Poor performance - keep giving 2 or 3 goals away in a lot of games and it's never going to end well all of the time. Unfortunately, that's where we are right now.

Defense will be our undoing 3 more shipped you cannot get any where letting goals in at that rate we have some tough games coming up But we are still in with a shout but Moore will be a massive miss

What a whopper of a birthday. Work all day, can't see anyone as still recovering from Covid, chicken for dinner didn't defrost so rubbish dinner, no messages from any of my mates, just family, and now an OUFC loss and our rivals all win. Bloody hate birthdays.

One of those nights, unfortunately. Strange refereeing performance, but other than the no pen call on Taylor didn't actually affect the result. Win the next 2 and it won't matter too much, still in our hands. Night all.

It's worth noting that it took us 6 more game and until the middle of April to get to 62 points last season. I know that it's still very tight at the top but we're in good form with plenty of games still to come. Tonight is important, and I think we'll win with a bit to spare, but can we try not to catastrophize things if we don't have the perfect game?!

Happy birthday!

On balance I would rather have Jack than Easty. Kane needs a rest and Holland is just too lightweight. 3 points Saturday now essential.

Unfair to say Karl’s fault for the defence, everyone wanted a back 5 this morning
I'm a Robinson fan but it is his fault. The defence has been really neglected this season unfortunately. There is no point me going on about the lack of player depth defensively this season because it's been done to death but I just hope Robinson learns for next season whichever league we play in. There is something very Kevin Keegan about the way we are playing now. It's exciting, I will give it that.

Happy Birthday Jolteon!

(The next 2 hours are going to be brilliant!)

Disappointing result - we just look extremely fragile on the defence. Kane desperately needs a rest and he's not suited to the role he's in, but there's no-one to replace him.

But at the same time the playoffs are still in our hands. Win on Saturday - and we should - and things will look a lot more positive.
