Sunderland must be the worst club for player criticism on forums. They melt down every time they lose and one bad performance draws online surveys of "whether he is the worst player to ever play for the club?". There seems to be a belief of entitlement amongst fans, who refuse to accept they are watching a bunch of players who really don't give a s**t about Sunderland and who find their fanaticism and wearing of a football jersey to work, weddings and bed, frankly weird.
 
75 miles to go. Really cheesed off...sh*te away day all round and that temporary stand - I just can't stand it. Looking a shoe-ing that we won't either way be visiting it next season. And on that note season's greetings to you all!

Oyez oyez....i nearly forgot the most important bit - we only went and f*cking won. Close game though!

To be fair it's exactly Defoe's job to stop a team conceding 6.
 
I feel for Gillingham, they had that odious pig Steve Evans at the helm and have an owner who seems to be completely clueless. it was only a few years ago that they were playing great footy and were always a difficult team to break down. I wish them luck.

They also hate the scum 👍

Would Defoe have scored 7 (seven) for them today? I don’t think their attack was the problem today.

If you had bothered to go to the game, you would have seen a fantastic performance, from a team oozing confidence, against one of the poorest teams in the division.
Onto Wigan 500+ mile round trip, but has to be done. COYY.
My opinion, don't like it then FO!
 
Hilariously the beeb has Gillingham down as having had more shots on target than us.

Are you for real ffs? Be happy that we stuffed another side with 7 goals. Why moan and single out one player? We played as a complete unit, a team. What we don't need is some kind of witch hunt, just as the squad looks like it coming together, against one player.
