Fans Forum on Good Friday

As evidenced by traditionally lower midweek attendances.

The forum is at the next home game - I understood urgency was paramount.

The last Fans Forum (held at CPF) was midweek and absolutely packed

the promised for December, 2nd fans forum of the season has been twice postponed

The first Fans Forum under DE, MA and MApp, held at the breeze block, on a midweek night
was absolutely rammed

As an aside, the recentish Oxvox open members meeting ( at the Masons arms, Quarry, Headington)
was also held midweek... so packed it was standing room only ( despite the then chairman
DE canceling his guest speaker invitation a day or so before it taking place)

hmmm @m somehow I think the evidence supporting the popularity with fans for midweek fans forums
sort of speaks for its self?

Conversely, when the stadium owner was OUFC chairman and he called shareholders AGMs at strange
'early' times on strange days, I can personally confirm they were the lowest attended Shareholders
AGMs that I can recall. Ever.

Of course, irrespective of time, date etc it is a near impossibility to please all the people all the time with
the holding of meetings. However, aiming to please most of the people must be a better option than
limiting a fans forum to a mere hour, with an obscenely early start on a public holiday, which pleases not many, with perhaps the exception of our, proven to be impeccably punctual timewise (hahaha), owner?

Club arrange fans forum
*some' fans complain at arranged time for fans forum
Stop f*****g moaning when you get what you've asked for but it's not perfect enough for you.

I’m not sure u can hold the two cancelled fans forums against him sarge. One was before he was even here, and the other a day after he took over.

The club is supposed to hold 2 a year. Tiger has arranged 1 in 4 weeks, Pushed for by Oxvox asap on fans request. Maybe some should have been a little bit more specific [emoji6]

I hope Tiger is willing to take email questions (perhaps via OxVox) some time, like Darryl did. Can’t make 9:30 unfortunately, but would have liked to ask a question or two regarding the women’s team.

1) Has the club applied for a WSL 2 (Women’s Championship) license for next season? BBC reported that was our intention, but we’ve heard nothing from the club itself. It’s a time sensitive application and with the whole takeover business, I would like to know where the team stands; some clarity would be nice.

2) Based on what he told OxVox - he said he’d fund the women’s team for next season. That seems very shortsighted and a very short term commitment to me. What about beyond that time? What are his plans?

I realise most people will have first team affairs well covered and then some, so wanted to put these two out there. Especially the first one re: what league we’ll be playing in next season.

Time allowing ( though whether 60 mins is adequate enough remains to be seen), I'll add your Qs to my list of Qs @Craig .... no promises of course, as we won't know until 9.15AM good Friday what time zone Tiger happens to be operating within

I understand if you don’t get the chance, but appreciate the gesture regardless. Very good of you, cheers. :)

Valid arguments Sarge. But if you assume those who don't attend midweek games couldn't attend a forum then you already rule some out.

Agree that the early hour is a bit daft, but I can see why they chose to hold it ASAP.

I think my point is that while it is far from ideal, I don't believe it's sinnister.

Lets hope someone with a grasp on the actual time in the real world is 'managing' Tigers timekeeping on Good Friday morning

Maybe Sarge can present Tiger with a special Yellows Forum limited edition watch next Friday, as a welcome gift. ?

I'M ,err, 'watching' Tigers timekeeping with interest already ;)

My point is that although this isn't ideal, many fans can't make evenings either. Some people moan for the sake of it - negative snipes all the time.
Having it at say 11-12 would be better, before a 3pm game.

The timing is a minor problem for the Loungers as we live 80 miles away and would have to get up at sparrow fart to be there in time but very pleased that a forum, albeit a very brief forum, is taking place. I would imagine that this will be more of an exercise in PR and presenting KR to the fans than a meaningful discussion of recent events and plans for the future or, for that matter, resolving the issues with the stadium (toilets, facilities, bar prices etc.)

The gap between the scheduled end of the forum and kick off is odd. Perhaps start an hour later and finish with an hour to go unless, as some have suggested, Tiger's time keeping is still off!
