I know this will be a post some will not agree and some might agree but I feel we should get some fans at the fence end this Saturday just to make abit of noise show some colour not to cause any trouble but just to support the team social distancing of COURSE as I say most fans will disagree
I dont disagree .... I agree @oufc1991 ... with the sentiments, for sure

Sounds like scum could be heading to watch the Banbury game against Bury at weekend, looking at their website. I think they might try the old van at the fence end again, for anyone at the Blackbird to keep an eye and ear out for on Saturday.

Now I'm all for mindless pedantry, big fan in fact.

But there's a time and a place. And this just isn't it.

I just don't like such grandiose statements, which will be all over this thread. It can make us look foolish because "they" can throw it back at us every time.

I shall leave it at that.

No matter how you count it, we have not won 7 in a row. We drew in 0-0 in the EFL Trophy in 2016. That broke the streak.
Yeah finally someone said it, it is a lot of fun winding them up on social media with the 7 in a row (and it's a great chant) but we can't include the Potter 1-0 and the Roofe 2-0 if we're not including that - they're literally the same competition, format change or not!

Mostly quite pessimistic down the road:
Interesting that it sounds like Wellens' head has been turned by the Salford job becoming available. Like it or not, he did bloody well with them last year, he's a good manager.

Hadn't realised their form was so poor, and that is giving me a lot of confidence. Fans tend to have a good sense of how things are with their team, and the uniform despair on their forum suggests they are in a proper slump. Again, we haven't been as bad as our results suggest, and playing, once you take all the history out of it, a weak team at home should be a comfortable three points.

Don't want to make a prediction. But so long as we don't lose I'm happy.

I agree! In fact I'm even tempted to come over from south London for it. Make some noise and support the boys! (social distancing etc etc)

B-teams included in the trophy competition ..., therefore (IMO)it doesnt count :sneaky:
Yes, that's my justification of seven in a row as well - and quite a few others I believe, even though we reached the final that season.

I entirely get where you're coming from.

It just makes it even funnier for me though, rubbing their faces in it, and it's not even true!

Hey, we live in a post-fact world. (And just for once I'm willing to let my personal standards drop)

On a tangent: more than the Wycombe or Pompey games I'm feeling that I'm missing out this weekend. Not being there is going to really hurt.

On the subject of no fans in the ground, imagine not being at the skip when Robbie Hall hit that thunderbolt. Or at our place taunting di Canio when we only needed 10 ten to beat them. Bet a certain Mr Read wished there had been a similar restriction back in the 80s though!

I expect TVP are reading this.
Regardless, IF Swindon fans turn up to the ground I will be there and following COVID guidance.
We played by the rules when Portsmouth and then Sunderland turned up to watch, but I can’t allow Swindon to have a presence without support for our boys.

Surely there must be some planned maintenance on that area of the car park that is scheduled in for this weekend - along with anyone wanting to park large van/bus type vehicles diverted to the very far end of the overflow car park (you know, the bit that gets a bit wet and boggy when it has rained recently)
