National News First 100 days of Boris..........

So your version of multi-tasking to get everything done 'ready for shutting down tomorrow' involves posting on here.........interesting

Keeping a tab open on Chrome is not beyond the wit of man @Sheik djibouti ;)

Finance & Investment committee started at 8.00am, minutes done and circulated.
Data Reporting is (pretty much) automated, just need to stick different sources together into something comprehensible for the specialities.
Got 3 Clinical Trials costings to finish before close of play, awaiting on technical input from others.
4 actions left to finish off from regulatory authority reports, they get loaded onto our Document Management System.. and won`t get signed off until New Year.
Then its just load the trading data into NHSI`s Model Hospital.

And checking what the common man thinks.................... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: (y)

Crack on then ;)

Crack on Boris.................. (y)

"Although read by the sovereign, the Speech is written by the government. The programme, due to be announced at 11.40 GMT, is expected to contain the following measures:

  • Plans for an Australian-style points-based immigration system from 1 January 2021"

In 2018, 29% of the Australian resident population were born overseas.

The system gives the government control (in theory, but no doubt strongly influenced by market forces) but does not automatically mean less Johnny Foreigner coming here and stealing our jobs.

What is Tory policy on immigration strategy once the new control is in place?

I don't think some of the nuttier Brexiteers have realised this.

It is as simple as letting in who you want too, those who are suitably qualified, those who will contribute.............................. not all and sundry with FOM.....

Oh come on! Are you seriously suggesting a proportion of the Brexit vote was xenophobic, or that some Brexiteers were hypocritical in their attitude to immigration? Example: A strongly Brexiteer neighbour of ours was born and brought up in South Africa and is married to a woman of Moldovan background who doesn't work, but now they're here and British citizens they want the drawbridge pulling up on further immigration.

No, not me, I wouldn't dream of suggesting such a thing.

Thin end of the wedge, @Sarge I happen to know that in 2022 you'll have to show your Conservative Party Membership Card as well. Or is that for universal credit?

Johnson claims his tory party will be getting shot of islamaphobics after 'one bounce' apparently, oh really ? apparently not! ....

Not condoning it in the slightest but I reckon there’s extremist members in every party in the country. This is particularly poor taste but I’m sure if someone spent time looking into the paid members of the main political groups there’d be some absolutely outrageous members. I bet he’s not the only one in the Tory membership but he’s certainly ‘high profile’

Like many of our European friends do and as they do in Northern Ireland already. Also some other countries around the world are the same, so we're not stepping outside of the norms by doing it.
taking back control, & getting brexit done by adopting what them damn foreigners do in their EU ? ?

Add it to the list of stuff that was always within our gift to change.

It's just convenient and lazy to blame someone else for your own failings. You know the old tropes....Austerity is Labour's fault....immigration is the EUs fault etc etc[emoji6]

concentration camps next?

Godwins Law.

Nothing wrong with giving the Police the powers to deal with these teflon coated "law abiding" members of our society................

I`m guessing they create fewer difficulties in the leafy South than around these parts?

By all means identify as traveller`s, but live by the same rules as the rest of us and don`t use that tag as an exemption certificate.
