National News First 100 days of Boris..........

Clear out the "skeletons in the cupboard"........
"The prime minister has also cleared a parliamentary report into alleged Russian interference in UK democracy for publication."

Brexit vote on Friday...............

I am very much looking forward to:

A leopard changing his spots,
A whole slew of new, correctly sized, fit for purpose hospitals
An extra 35,000 nurses plus retaining the 15,000 that are pissed off
Millions upon hundreds of millions of extra money being invested in the NHS weekly
The world beating a path to our door to sign advantageous trade deals on our terms
The revival of British manufacturing
More police on the streets
More humanity and understanding between the different sections of our society
Reconciliation between Leavers and Remainers
More equality in our society
A curbing of corporate greed
The moon on a stick.

Or am I being a tad optimistic?

I'd say the top seven things are more likely than the bottom five...

Lots of sensible ‘one nation’ measures. Good to see Cummings looking at the books already re defence procurement. Lot of unnecessary wastage there.

You’re going have to do better than this ‘Johnson’s a Liar’ shtick chaps
He is already a proven a liar, time n time again too,... but he'll get brexit done ( by 31st Jan) wont he ? 'our' American born, public school poshboy, chicken PM....and theres more, many, many more lies to come from him and his cohorts, methinks;)

Cummings isnt even a tory party member, he is a dangerously manipulative puppeteer, & IMO should have no part whatsoever in governing the UK as he is not accountable- bit like those Eurocrats we're apparently taking back control from:ROFLMAO:

Hold on!

We're leaving the EU and as we do that we're SLASHING THE DEFENCE BUDGET?

Why bother with it, there are no consequences. What on earth would be the point of having a privileged class if they were subject to the same constraints as ordinary people. You might speculate, for example that it might prove to be inefficient to have a class of individuals treated more favourably given the concerns about productivity but it will never be debated. Turkeys don’t vote for Christmas. Seasons Greetings to you.

No doubting his past record isn't good, to say the least, so let's judge him by his deeds not his words.

The problem with the 'liar' tag is it doesn't really resonate with anyone. MP's are now held in such low esteem that the public almost expect them to lie at some point.
And let's not forget the biggest (and worst) political lie of all time - the dodgy dossier - didn't stop Tony Blair getting re-elected - twice!

I trust you were making the same objections about Alistair Campbell when he was pulling the strings in the Blair governments.

Blair's first re-election was surely before the dossier?

Not denying the magnitude of the that lie though.

I think you're probably correct about the liar tag sadly.

‘Dangerously manipulative puppeteer’ right?
So we are still on that ‘all Leave voters are thick ‘ argument are we?
There’s no doubt that the last Parliament were simply not doing what they promised to do.
And they got their arses kicked as a result.
Don’t really see ‘manipulation’.
A no deal crash out Brexit, at the end of 2020, is beginning to be looking more than a possibility

I don’t think we will leave without any deal being made.
he might be talking tough but a negotiation will take place

It's kind of all they have now. Fundamentally beaten, so back to the familiar trope.

As for those worried about chlorinated chicken, I hope none of you eat pre-packed salads as they are washed in chlorine to keep them fresher!

They can get a less comprehensive deal done to resolve some of the bigger item and then add to it afterwards as negotiations continue - the EU seem quite comfortable with that idea, so it's no need to panic or meltdown. Infact, it's probably better for Rejoiners that is done more quickly so they can start their campaign to rejoin ? .

The problem isn't chlorine per se.

It's the conditions that the chickens are farmed in that require the use of chlorine.

Rightly or wrongly people don't share the same concerns about salad leaves.

I dont think 'more than' a possibility Sarge.
I would be very surprised if it is a no deal. I suspect that this is a promise of tough negotiations ( which were not possible with Parliament in such gridlock)
Even if some of the key parts of agreement are agreed, I reckon that some will be able to be delayed a little.
Neither side wants no deal which would be economically bad for both parties.
