That'll please @cassox, he'd better not take the knee mind.Sounds like it's going to be a right winger with Ageyi considered an option on the left. Wonder if Whyte could come back.
Personally I think the loss of Gorrin has been fatal in our lack of points so far. He was instrumental to everything we did last season and it’s noticeable currently that we do not have a specialist in his position when he’s not there. So many times Mous has been a get out jail free card for our defense under KR, whether that be as a central defender or holding midfielder. His loss early this season I think has been a big one. I think loosing Dickie was not fatal, nor even loosing Gorrin, but without Mous to fill the gap adding an experienced head to the defense we are struggling. Given his Mous's age and that he is moving into coaching maybe this is something we could have foreseen and should have prepared for. On the other hand the defensive injuries have been rather unlucky.
For me if we only sign one more player this window it needs to be a player with experience who can play either in central defense or holding midfielder.
It's like the start of the season a while back when Eastwood was injured and the Derby guy came in. He was OK but the whole defence seemed jittery, and we only started playing well when Eastwood came back.I think it is the combination of Mous, Gorrin and Ruffels all being out together that has hindered us, as that has exposed a number of our understudies at the same time, particulaly as Long has been pulled away from RB to help shore things up. Take any one out of these three and we would cover it with no problem, we could probably cope in many games with two missing, but it is all three - meaning that Clare, Atkinson and Kelly all HAVE to play - that has been the issue. Again, individually they could be supported as they find their feet, but with so much of the support network missing, they have all had to go in together without the guidance required.
It is not often I call for experience over youth in these situations, but this is one of those rare occasions
Gorrin multitasking. Defensive midfielder and yellow card specialistPersonally I think the loss of Gorrin has been fatal in our lack of points so far. I do echo your comment about the importance of Mous though as he has played very well in both holding midfield and at the back in the last couple of years.
He may be right on this occasionWe all know where this is going right! "We'll go with what weve got". Can see it a mile off!
Hope you’re wrong, but fear you’re right. We all know where this is going right! "We'll go with what weve got". Can see it a mile off!
Especially after an inter squad game tonightHope you’re wrong, but fear you’re right.
But won't he count as the average wage in terms of the rules?Another example of the effect of the new salary cap:
Salary cap forces Boyd to leave Posh
George Boyd leaves Peterborough as the League One club can no longer afford him due to new salary rules.www.bbc.co.uk
That was my thoughts too. I'd guess this comes down to how many over aged players they can have in their squad or cost cutting in general. But won't he count as the average wage in terms of the rules?

it's a done deal then, he'll need a mini pre season of course...Hope he’s full of sh1te, as far as I can see he’s played 7 games in last 3 years!
