League One Tinpot Reading

Let them go bust and reform, or not.
The club is the fans, not the chairman, players or the ground.
If the fans are loyal, then they'll be back in a few years with stories to tell like AFC Wimbledon.

We would have been playing Championship football by now if it wasn't for clubs like Reading, Derby, Bolton, etc etc, paying excessive wages that they couldn't afford.
How much tax money did Derby not pay when they went into admin? £40Million? Same with Bolton.
Not struggling now are they.

Ka$$am drove us into the ground (still is), they laughed.
They'll get no sympathy from me.

The Football league are already making noises as if they are going to let Reading get away with what happened on Saturday, so they seemed to have changed the narrative from them overspending for years and no one wanting to carry that on to poor us by throwing the toys out of the pram.

Clubs who have been in the prem seem to get the kid gloves treatment as well, whereas the little old Burys get no sympathy at all, it’s a two tier system despite the far bigger debts run up by the likes of Reading.

As you say we got shafted by Kassam, still are being, but for the super entitled modern fans of fleetingly in the premier league Reading falling out of the FL and fighting you mr way back is not good enough apparently, they need the football league to bail them out.

Just don't be a Bury or Macclesfield.

To be fair to Madejski, not only did he build a pretty decent stadium with his own money but he also came up with that classic quote:
" The fastest way to become a millionaire in England is to be a billionaire and then buy a football club"

That was just before he off-loaded to Zingarevich and it all went to pot.

Wayne Hatswell could save them some money if their manager drops down to Swindon

They conveniently already have an 'AFC Reading' placeholder in there for them.
Maybe that would prevent them from renaming themselves that. Find it so unimaginative and boring anyway. They should go for something more unique like:

Biscuit Botherers FC
Reading Hobnobs United FC
Reading Microwave City FC

When you say paying excessive wages they couldn't afford. Well they could afford them, acquiring debt, until the owners wouldn't/couldn't pay anymore. Is that not the same as us? Currently we are building debt each season, to pay the wages etc, as we don't make enough money as a club to pay them. Currently our owners foot the bill but they may or may not in the future, essentially we are the same as Reading.

And if they take action at the game at our place, I hope we show our support for them too.
Never. If they want to disrupt their home games, good luck to them. But there is no-way they should be allowed to get away with doing the same at any oppositions home ground, especially OUFC's. Should they try it, then I hope we hound them off and lock them all out.

Well we are definitely not the same as Reading at the moment.
Their owner appears to not be able to pay the bills. He has little interest and now seems to be asset stripping

As we all know, the ground is critical to the survival of OUFC. If this is structured well, oufc could have a bright future.

Reading don't own their ground are almost certain to go down and L2 is probably their best hope.

We averaged a higher number of away fans in our first conference season than they did in their record points Championship winning season. They get the "punters" in at home games but none of them really support Reading as a first team enough to go to away games, where the plastic thing comes from.

Living between Oxford and Reading, there isn't a hatred of them like Swindon, but their fans are a bit deluded and seemingly oblivious to history, delusions of grandeur.

They also have a knack for surviving in the Championship despite routinely cheating FFP and being ran like a mess since Madjeski departed. I'm sure their luck will run out eventually but they've just drawn Man Utd away in the FA Cup (again) when the purse strings are tight, perhaps the lord is a Reading fan! :ROFLMAO:
Bingo

The chickens came home to roost. Wu Tang is the Oracle.

Tomorrow is D day? With the EFL meeting. Wouldn’t it be nice 20+ points deduction this season and a further 30 next season as a fine won’t be paid and can the EFL actually say an owner has to sell?
