So who should we approach or Interview ?

You are avoiding the question, why after the match Saturday?
That will be the end of the 3 match tenure but as I said it’s whay I was told on Saturday whether it’s true or not I don’t know but the source did say Jack Payne was of that Blackburn before anything was mentioned

Names previously punted on the previous forum who I haven't listed on here: Sean O'Driscoll, Billy Davies, G Westley, Steve 'Fatty' Evans, Justin Edinburgh, 'Mad Dog' Allen.

In terms of timing, I don't think announcing a manager during or after a game, which we could well be losing, would be ideal. Just imagine we've lost, people have started to leave already and out comes the new manager, to be welcomed by a group of fans whose emotions are already running very high. Seems unlikely to me. I think the whole press conference, quick q&a and a photo op route - ideally with the chairman next to him! - would be more sensible.

Faz may be a defensive coach, but he is head coach not a specialist defensive coach. So he does it all.
He wil oversee it all bit need specialist in each department

How many clubs at this level have a specialist coach in each department. It’s irrelevant that he’s head coach, he’s a defensive coach by trade, he’s noted like the rest of us that it’s a major issue, and has had 3 weeks to focus on improving it. Yet it’s barely noticeable that’s it’s improved at all

And the previous head coach (pep) said it was an issue but it has not been addressed.
Question is.... when?

Well I’m guessing it’s down to one of two things seeing it was the same under pep. Either faz isn’t a very good defensive coach, or the player are so bad they are beyond coaching. If its the second then releasing raglan who’s a better defender to get game time is very odd when it’s glaringly obvious that coaching isn’t improving the players we do have

Maybe the back room staff are the problem, a tight knit group who look after their own interests, maybe an incoming manager doesn’t fancy using the current set up as they might undermine his progress, the same problems exist and the constant is what?

I was trying to find out the logic of announcing it after the match, it seems a strange time on a match day.
Even before the game and get paraded on the pitch or an club announcement prior to match day.

Surely if they were to announce it on a match day it'll need to be before end of the game. Imagine if we lose 3-0 on Saturday and the club Tweet out something like Club can confirm that "Phil Brown" will takeover as manager. The fanbase will be in melt down.

Oh God, it’s going to be announced X-Factor Style isn’t it?

Rosie is going to play the part of Ant and/or Dec and leave a big pause before announcing the winner is... *add managerial name here*

A quick song and dance number from our new boss, a second-half winner from Napa and we all go home happy. Bosh.
Maybe there'll be two candidates and we have 45 mins to text our votes......Could actually be a couple money spinning apps in this. "I'm a manager do you want me out of here?" and "I;m a manager get me in here":)

I’m not one to panic, but I do believe we must make an appointment sooner rather than later. My reason not to panic that we have a reasonable haul of points already. There are a lot of games to be played still, and we will probably need 3 wins and maybe a draw or two.

However the longer we continue to play without a manager being appointed, there is a danger we may continue our poor form. If we don’t win in our next couple of fixtures, then there is potential for us to sleep walk in to a relegation battle.

Need to get a result on Saturday against another very in form team.

Getting back to the defensive coach bit - over the last few weeks (could argue way longer) our attack has not been anything close to something the opposition would have to bewary of - having no threat going forward immediately puts you at a defensive disadvantage - Faz could be a defensive mastermind but with our injuries and unsettled forward line (unsettled team in general) we are always going to be put on the back foot more often than not.

Best form of defence and all that.
Can see that, but then again we were great going forward at Charlton but still conceded 2 stupid goals. A lot of come from individual mistakes, best defensive coach in the world ain’t going to turn martin and mous into John terry and Rio Ferdinand. But we also conceded a lot from crosses and corners where they lose their men in the box and allow free headers, that should be able to be worked on. But then again maybe they just ain’t good enough for the level we are at
