PEP has Gone!

"The Board is focused on maintaining a challenge for promotion to the Championship and will make an announcement regarding a new Manager as soon as possible."

I mean, it's good to be optimistic, but surely you have to be realistic? It's our second season in League One and yes Pep's not been that great, but it's not like he was a million miles away.

With all due respect but it has been very clear performances have been getting worse throughout the season. Regretfully for Pep, and only Pep this was a very necessary decision.

Such a quick decision surely reflects the discontentment behind the doors at Grenoble Road. Changing room, board room etc. More to this than meets the eye and we will probably never hear all the opinions of those involved but well done to those who have taken this step.

You know what... Fair play to Eales and the board. He takes a lot of s**t and this was a very brave decision. Despite what some people say we weren't going to go down, but equally, we weren't going up. Would have been easy to see how it goes and deal with it at the end of the season.

Good luck to Pep. it wasn't quite right and some of the performances have been dreadful, but a nice guy and clearly an incredibly talented coach. Maybe some more learning to be done before he becomes a manager again.

We go again

Wow..... A brave decision. Seems Eales was more likely pushed into it from the board.
I wouldn't have thought DE needed to be pushed by anyone..he said he looked at trends not one off results and that was underperforming badly set up teams

So we need a proven manager ASAP. 9 days of the transfer window left for the new man to get 2-3 of his players in.

I’m guessing the window will end before we get a manger. That doesn’t mean key players won’t be brought in, but it might take some convincing

I only hope phrase 'be careful what you wish for'does not come into play.

Does this mean we won't have a 11 men behind the ball for set pieces? If it does then thank f*ck.
