Sorry Sarum we aint spending money on purchases. Tiger is a con man but he will "balance" things by off-loading a player & it will be a loan.

That is my concern. You can count on one hand how many loans actually work out for the club. What has surprised Tiger is the potential cost of a decent striker. Godden, Marquis, Eaves were all priced at 750,000 plus. That is the quality we need at present not some young premier league third reserve nobody has heard of.

Apart from the money already spent on players that is

Completely agree that money has been spent and but it is a known fact in football that strikers who can score 1 in 3 are worth their weight in gold. It needs that little bit extra and if he supports his manager in the media he also needs to back that up with actions.

The trick is to get someone who you haven’t heard of but who can be that good when surrounded by good colleagues such as Whyte. The finished article will be expensive

Good plan in the summer close season but fraught with danger when you need someone who can hit the ground running in January. We do have the players in Whyte and Graham, but they also have to have the confidence in who they are aiming crosses and passes to.

Kane Hemmings would score a hatfull with Those kind of crosses. That's what he fed off in Scotland.

Just mentioned this on another thread. Do we have enough fighters in the squad? I’d rather have 11 Joe Skarz to choose from in this relegation fight, than some fancy Dan who only turns it on when he fancies it. A ‘cold January Tuesday night in Bury’ should always be the benchmark for recruitment, not how many step-overs they can do. We’re a struggling league1 team, not Barcelona.
What's Beano doing these days?[/QUOTE]

Along the same train of thought, what is Hylt….sorry, getting a bit carried away, regarding former goal scorers.

KR now off to Holland in the hunt for a striker ?

Ajax vs Heerenveen in the cup tonight (both Eredivisie teams so highly unlikely it's someone there).
Full program of Erste Divisie (second league) games tomorrow night.
Unless, of course, this is absolute sh*te...

Martinez not good enough?
