Take a chill pill bazzer, we’ve not signed him and the striker is supposed to be coming in later this week/early next ?
And you heard that from where? The striker
Coming in Later or early next week, is that the one in the 48 hour role?

If you actually think we won't have a striker in by end of the window then you clearly have some sort of agenda thay makes you believe this. Robinson has said it's priority, it'll happen one way or another .

As KR said tonight, he's got strikers in mind but whether he gets the one(s) he wants is a different matter. He's just going through medical records at the moment ensuring that they're either injured already or waiting for the weekend to see if they can pick an injury up.

We have a squad full of players with ability, but there's something wrong. Is it the wrong mix of characters, or is there something wrong in the DNA of many of the players in the squad at the moment?

Looking at recent results and performances, although the players have the ability to be successful, the team needs people with a different DNA - determined winners...

I'd be reviewing every position, including centre back.

Some tough decisions need to be made!

Just mentioned this on another thread. Do we have enough fighters in the squad? I’d rather have 11 Joe Skarz to choose from in this relegation fight, than some fancy Dan who only turns it on when he fancies it. A ‘cold January Tuesday night in Bury’ should always be the benchmark for recruitment, not how many step-overs they can do. We’re a struggling league1 team, not Barcelona.

So just having a quick scan through the payers KR has bought to the club:

Whyte - apparently recommended by Michael O'Neill
Sykes - as above
Holmes - worked with previously
Browne - link with agent?
Carruthers - worked with previously
Mcmahon - Wanted by KR
Garbutt - recruitment?
Graham - know by recruitment team
Mackie - worked with Derry
Hanson - possibly not KR's signing
Norman - looks to be a recruitment signing
Kashi - worked with previously

I think Mark Thomas, head of recruitment is still in position, however how much does KR take note? Of the 12 above, possibly 4 are from the recruitment thats in place.

We have such a large catchment, surely there is the opportunity to pick up players released in London?

Has the role of Thomas been fully undermined if KR is sifting through 4hrs of videos on the day of a match?

Not that he's done anything wrong but by association Nelsons next wage must be dropping by the week

Not sure how much of say Thomas does or doesn’t have.

I do know that Craig Dean was head scout/recruitment when we were flying under Appleton. He went to Leeds at the start of last season season.

Fair to say recruitment hasn’t been of the same standard since he left. Leeds aren’t doing too badly either.

If we could just sign a couple of strikers soon a lot of this whinging would stop! Hard to deny that it was a mistake not to take Maynard
Doubt if the whinging will stop, when asked last night after the crap about further signings he said he wil take in matches and look at videos but with a week tomorrow till the window shuts, when will he sleep

This is one piece of evidence that Tiger is the bigger issue. He told KR to make do with what he's got till January and moved Maynard on.

Doubt he will sleep until he gets in at least one striker. Not only does he have to think about the fragile state of the team he surely knows that the safety of one or two on this forum are in his hands if he doesn't. I just pray it is a purchase and not a loan and that our esteemed chairman is persuaded to see the necessity of backing his manager.

Sorry Sarum we aint spending money on purchases. Tiger is a con man but he will "balance" things by off-loading a player & it will be a loan.
