Worth a listen to the Undr the Cosh podcast with Woodman on there. Very funny guy and also openly admits he never came out for crosses and was a very average player. You missed the Andy Woodman trademarked forlorn look of ‘what do you want me to do’ and flap of the arms towards the East Stand whenever we dare suggest there were options in other than shanking it into the stands

They have one with Wayne Biggins too I believe and the Matty Elliot one is a good one. Thanks for the recommendation. Seem to be quite a few ex-Oxford lads in this pod’s back catalogue. Just downloaded a whole bunch, should be good fodder for my runs this week!
If they’re dropping him into a new side to test his character, it could go tits up.I don’t really understand the logic of this.
Brighton left him all season in League Two last year, didn’t they? And now he’s doing well in a side doing fairly well in League One. As he’s only 19 (and keepers tend to have longer careers anyway, so he could be playing somewhere near his best for the next 15-16 years) wouldn’t it make sense to let him keep developing somewhere that he’s settled, and then give him a year in the Championship next season when he’s 20?
The only possible reasons I can see, given that money likely isn’t a factor, is that they want to test him so see if he can adapt to a new environment, to getting out of his comfort zone and dropping into a new side at a higher level. But it’s a gamble, as it could disrupt what has so far been pretty serene progress. We shall see I guess…

No, he only went to Crewe last January - and even then the loan was cut short by injury in early April.I don’t really understand the logic of this.

Ah yes but other than putting it on our website.....
He wasn't a bad shot stopper, but did play like he'd had one foot nailed to the goaline.
It's possible that they are happy with how he's doing, and now want to accelerate things - maybe with a view towards him being their Cup Goalkeeper or something next season.
And they feel the best way to see if he's ready is to have him go up against better players in bigger stadiums week in-week out in.
Or it's possible that it's just a personnel decision. Sal Bibbo was appointed Wednesday's goalkeeping coach in November. Before that he was coaching Brighton's U21s. Could be that they just trust him, and reckon he's the best guy to unlock Beadle's full potential.
Either way......sucks for us.
Rushworth no longer qualifies as an U21 - Beadle took his place in the U21 squad - but Trafford's still there!I'd imagine Carl Rushworth is ahead of him at the moment but could be wrong. He's played 28 times on loan at Swansea so far this season and was in the England U21 squad for the European U21 Championship win (didn't play though as James Trafford was number 1).

Sorry, it must be a bit of a blow to you that we've suddenly ended his loan - I thought he was doing fine and on course for a Championship loan next season. But what do I know? - our loans team have obviously decided to fast-track him at a phenomenal rate. I'm pretty sure you're right and that money isn't a factor here.
Anyway, thanks for looking after him, and good luck for the rest of the season. Championship next season - or is that a step too far at the moment?
I worry when the club say they have a plan…!
We we have a customer experience even?!Me too. Which part of the customer experience will get sanitised next?
