First I've heard of this.
According to Wayne Brown he had a role in getting him. He mentioned it on one of the recent Oxford podcasts; can’t remember which but he knew either Beadle’s coach or agent.Think it was said on here that Sam Baldocks links with Brighton played a big part in getting Beadle here so very unlikely to be much more than the chance to get him into the championship young.
If Beadle is a success at his age in the championship that puts a lot of millions on his value, if you are Brighton it’s hard to overlook that.

He helped set it up in early Summer before moving on.Was he even with us at the time?
Pfft. We have already had a world cup winning keeper - he will have to go some to beat that!
Despite all the plaudits he'll get on here, let's not forget that Beadle tried taking some short goalkicks in his first home game. Unforgivable.
After he did it against Derby, there was nothing left for us to teach him.Knew he wouldn’t stay long when he did that, the correct technique for an Oxford United goalkeeper is to put it in the stands while blaming the pitch.

The important thing is we didn’t annoy Brighton, somehow.Yet another masterstroke by our Comms dept. Ooh, Sheffield Weds have announced they've signed Beadle - we better tell our fans he's left.
Spot on. By that stage he was well coached - after putting the ball into touch look closely at the pitch and then pick some muds from your boots. We've taught him well. After he did it against Derby, there was nothing left for us to teach him.

Just two days after their keeper saved 2 penalties in the first 10 minutes against Cardiff. Interesting one.Gone to Wednesday. Confirmed on their site.
