To be fair, without the goals he scored that season despite being knackered, we probably would’ve dropped straight down into the Conference. Think he got 13 or thereabouts, which was pretty impressive given we finished only one or two places above relegation and were dreadful.

Around 1999/2000 FK made a decent budget available only for the likes of Fear, Antrobus, Arendse and a few other awful players to be signed. I spent a couple of weeks at the club at that time and "seven figure budget" (to strengthen the squad) was the sum I heard. Can only assume that included the pence!
