Oppppsssss that wasn’t meant to happen. They did a job on us. Fair play to them. Frustrating but can’t argue with the result. They deserved to win.

Got shot down by some on here when I questioned whether Atkinson should be regarded as first choice. It’s a big step up from National League football to League 1. People talk about getting players in, an experienced centre half should be a priority in my opinion.

A lack of character on display, as was talked about a while ago. Much like Wycombe this was another example of being “done over”. I hope that doesn’t become a running theme of the season. You need some balls and a bit of grit, not just technical footballers.

A few of the players need to grow up, quickly.

Surprise surprise. KR saying we played well (apart from the first mistake) and it’s the refs fault we lost. Yeah, the ref was poor but we would have still lost with a better ref.

Christ, what a bad start.

First goal was poor from Atkinson. Second goal never a free kick but we didn't defend the ball in. Red card was a poor decision too.

But no escaping the fact that we didn't do anything of real note throughout the game, apart from their keeper making some decent saves and a sharp double save.

The defence obviously needs some more time together so it's a blow that half the back 4 are likely unavailable for the next few games.

There is clearly a good footballer in Atkinson so hopefully today doesn't knock him too much, likewise Agyei was good when he came on, but not many positives to take from today.

I’ve banged on about needing defensive options first. Another LB or at least another option. Ruffels out and Atkinson suspended.

Early days but for all the moaning about strikers, the defence has been overlooked.

We were poor, sideways passing and no penetration until Agyei come on. He got the starting team all wrong.

I'd like to think he's protecting his players in public but leathering them in private. First half with 0 shots is not good enough.
