Current Player #16 Tyler Burey

Dick, head.. off on a different forum please.

As my old Nan used to say you are like a dog with a bone ...the bone being anything you can possibly throw at Des .
Say your point and don't keep regurgitating the same point when you have no idea what's gone on.

Eh? This thread is about Tyler Burey. Where have I mentioned Des? You’re just saying stuff for the sake of it without reading what I post. I make plenty of valid points thanks. Serious question, do you genuinely think no one regurgitates a point on YF? Do you honestly believe that? If so, when you’ve got a free 10 minutes have a look at some of the contributions from the more prolific posters (in conversations not involving me) and then tell me no one else reiterates their points!

I’d love to know what you class as valid points!

Out of interest, why do you hang so much hope of Brurey being the saviour to our season?

On this thread today all I said was with Bureys raw pace he would give us an option off the bench that no one else possesses and could be a good option against tiring defences. I didn’t say start him, I didn’t say anything about Des. To me, that is a valid point. Others choose to just be idiots and it descends into this sort of tit for tat stuff. 🤷‍♂️

Ok so do you think it is a manager/coaching issue with Brurey or a player issue?

Bearing in mind how he left Millwall and the fact that he managed the whole of 6 appearances in Denmark.

I’d suggest there is only one person to blame for Tyler Brurey not making the squad and that is Tyler Brurey.

I think there’s been a breakdown between Des and the recruitment team - not something that augurs well for a transfer window in a couple of months time. Burey was clearly on our radar back in the summer and I don’t think he is a Des Buckingham signing. That said, he’s clearly got something, so with a squad that have largely been under performing in Bureys time here I don’t understand why he’s not making the 18.

If it’s his attitude then fair enough but I thought, in the few glimpses we’ve seen, he tracked back well and put in a shift. That goal saving tackle when he tracked back 50 yards to cover a team mates error (can’t recall the opponent) didn’t look like a player with an attitude problem. We’ve got Burey and McGuane ostracised - two fit and talented players that would bolster a squad fighting for every point.

It's absolutely down to the player. I have two AFCW friends, one of whom worked at the club for several years. Burey was at AFCW from an early age. The club apparently had many issues with his 'attitude' all through the age groups. Although he had ability, they weren't sorry to see him leave for Millwall aged 18. It then sounds as though he's fallen out with management at Millwall, at Aarhus- and now with us. There's a really good player there, which is why clubs have given him a chance. But it's now down to the player. His next move will be L2 or non league. Unless he realises that he's the problem, of course.

Afraid football is littered with boys like this. Remember Brandon Barker? Championship level ability, but lazy. Now playing for Morecambe aged 27. And don't even get me started on those two awful Man City loanees. Can't remember their names, but I think (?) both had double barreled surnames. Obviously thought they were brilliant. Couldn't have been less interested. Both now out of pro football. That's where Burey is heading.

You can throw Dan Crowley into the mix too who can to us on loan as a bright future star in Arsenal’s academy to now playing league 2 football for Notts County.

Probably a bit of both. If he does have this perceived attitude problem, as the other post was referring to, then someone at the club has to carry the can for a serious lack of due diligence. A bit of clarity from the manager or club wouldn’t go amiss though. It can be done, in the same way ten Hag dealt with Sancho - everyone knew the situation and got on with it.

It is fully on the player for the way he has conducted himself.
We are currently in a push for a play off place, right now there is no need for more distractions than we currently have so it serves no benefit to call him out just because some fans want to know every detail going on in the club. The players and staff will know where TB stands as will the player. That’s the main thing.

Also, for someone who claims they don’t support man united, you do reference them an awful lot.

Smith Brown rings a bell. Truly shocking with OUFC

He's got an attitude problem - everywhere he's been knows this - so why did we not suss this? Why did we splurge £400k on a known "fragile" front man?. We discovered a problem at his medical so why the f**k did we sign him?
Answer: because we panicked. Our recruitment people need sorting.

Out of interest, what major injuries has Goodwin had in the past to make it well known that he is a ‘fragile’ player?
