Current Player #8 Cameron Brannagan

I just watched DB’s pre-Orient interview on iFollow. Chris Williams asked for an update on all the injured players but no mention was made of Brannagan.
 
Hope I’m wrong, but I still have my doubts re; Brannagan’s availability
 
I love Brannagan but I actually think the team played with a bit more freedom when he went off. I've actually noticed, from where I sit, that a couple of players have shown a bit of frustration with him. He is so intent on shooting from anywhere he often misses the percentage ball which would put us in a more attacking position. Even his shot at Wycombe should have been a cross.

A very good player certainly but sometimes thinks he's Steve Gerrard. Shoots too often, assists too rarely.
 
Agree. The players given the licence to ignore the percentage ball and do what they like around goal should be RR and TG. He's our best player and most important, but shoots too often.

He shoots because the crowd that are actually vocal and not sat on their hands requests that he does!
 
I really hope he recognizes his limitation is shooting and it’s not doing the team and his ambitions any favors
 
Absolutely no problem with CB shooting from the edge of the box but needs to cut out the silly 30 yarders when he’s simply frustrated. Side not he also should be nowhere near our set pieces he hits the first man more often then not.
 
I have no issue with Brannagan shooting from distance, the alternative is us passing it around the outside of the box and trying to score the perfect goal.
You need a mix and Brannagan will take a game by the scruff of the neck and can single handily get the team to step it up another level.
Players might get frustrated by him but I’m sure it is nothing compared to how frustrated he gets when they can’t do the simple things.

Of all the players in the squad, 1 player that I wouldn’t want to see him change the way he plays is Cam Bran.

Though he is comfortably our assist leader, with double that of anyone else in the squad right now.

We were utterly rubbish for the short period he was out in October. Would rather we don't have to try that again this year.

He shoots because he should! Too much faffing around with the ball in the game nowadays, just f*****g hit it!

Shooting gets goals, chances of rebounds from saves or hitting the woodwork, and gets corners, and it also gets the crowd excited and they make more noise, and that then lifts the players.

Keep shooting Cam ☄️

Think I’d rather see us drive into the box or put a cross in than serve the east stand or fence end with ball collection duties. I’m more a data driven guy than a dreamer.

I say keep shooting too, deflections and rebounds can sometimes work in your favour.

However there was one attempt early in the second half from about 40 yards against Northampton which wasn’t very clever.
