Current Player #xx Cameron Cooper

If the lad is that good, maybe this could signal the end of Perkins.

Hopefully this is a nice bit of business.

Was mentioned in the other thread. Seemingly not much of a progression pathway at Rangers for young players, so Cooper and their representation didn't feel it was in his best interest to sign a pro deal there.

Is a common issue with Rangers and Celtic that they hoover up all the quality, but not many actually get first team opportunities, especially with managers chopping and changing at a relatively high frequency. We've shown we'll give youth a chance over the last few years and with the SK link, made even more sense.
Very positive that thats the kind of reputation we have in the world of the game

Do we know when he actually left Rangers?

Presumably if it was after September 1st, he can't actually play for our first team (even in the Pizza Trophy) until January 1st?

Still, seems like another exciting young player to add to the mix.......

Game finished 2-2 for anyone who can’t be arsed to look. Cooper played on the left of a front three. Our goals came from Harrison Bradney who put us 1:0 up and Welsh U17 international Louis Griffiths with a late leveller.

I get the feeling games between us and Pompey are going to be quite momentous this season. Here’s to us being unbeaten in all of them 🙏
