I think the fairest thing to do is to wait until mid Feb. By then any new players should be settled and there is nothing more we can do. It was agreed almost categorically on here that 2 or 3 transfer windows would be needed to rebalanced robinsons legacy and we haven't had those yet.

What is this fairness thing you talk of! If a new player doesn’t have an absolute blinder in the first 45 minutes with us, then they are obviously a failure and complete waste of money.
Comments on here have already confirmed that Burey will never make it, and shockingly, Cummins is a complete flapper. If Goodwin doesn’t score a hat trick in his first game, then he may as well have signed for Charlton.

Maybe we do...

...just....why is the grass ALWAYS greener...?
Well historically speaking it is from some fans perspective and I expect this sort of conversation goes on at many other clubs

How many times have we been promoted v how many times have we been relegated.

We are always looking at other clubs and thinking wish we had this player or that player.

But what some have to come to terms with is that we support OUFC and it was ever thus.

Feel genuinely sorry for those younger fans on here like my son who started supporting us mid nineties

I say when the good times come along embrace them

He didn’t look interested from the first minute
That’s a strange way to interpret his performance. Chased the ball down every opportunity and ran 60 yards towards his own goal at a sprint in the closing mins to plug a gap left by Smyth flying in to a 50/50 and getting booked.

Ok didn’t get as involved as we’d like but don’t think he lacked any effort or interest.

Agree - he was getting into positions on the left and looking for the ball. However, whenever we got the ball that side we'd then switch back the other way, so he wasn't given the opportunity to shine or show what he can do.

Played 45 mins on New Years Day, then missed Portsmouth. Des said that the issue that is keeping him out now wasn't flagged until the medical.
If the injury he had now is different to his thigh injury, then from what I can tell from Cheltenham based news articles is he's had separate ankle, thigh, groin and quad injuries all in the last year.

Last night we didn't play to anybody's strengths. I don't often agree with the criticism going Des' way as he's had virtually nothing go for him but you have to wonder what we were trying to do last night. It's like we were surprised that they target Cadden's side and put good deliveries in. Who did we consider as our danger man and what did we do to make them as dangerous as possible? I just didn't see it. By comparison it was clear in both halves what Barnsley were trying to do. It was one of those rudderless days we've seen before with Des and does leave you wondering whether this is just going to be it with him. It wasn't all that unlike last season under Robinson. Fairly thoughtless, aimless and in the end leave it to Cam.

If we lose Brannagan to a late bid from the Championship then we really are in trouble.

More likely they found the reason for his thigh issues that had, up to that point, not been detected which explains him being brought back too early.

I’m afraid last nights game shows why we will come up short of the playoffs. We have overachieved with the squad we have & we are now getting found out. It costs in January but we should have been going out and getting proven league 1 players. We will bring in two loans in forward positions but we look lightweight in midfield & it’s getting to the point where against the best sides, Cam & Marcus can’t play together against those sides without someone sitting behind them. We need to give them licence to push higher up the pitch as all too often everything starts from deep & an organised side like Barnsley are able to shut us down. It’s disappointing as this league is the weakest it’s going to be for a long time this season & I think we will drop out of the playoffs and be replaced by Blackpool. Unfortunately against the best sides we are slow & naive and they will shut us down.
