As I have said on another thread, it's obvious we don't have the players for one up top. If Smith was the answer they would have found out in training you would hope!! Maynard would not solve the problem either. It concerns me that KR thinks he would.
He should bite the bullet and play two up top. I reckon Browne would make a very good striker in a two with Smith. Browne is similar to Tyler Roberts for me, potentially better. We have the players to play 4-4-2 or 3-5-2. It's not going to happen though, I believe KR is entrenched in the system he plays. Thinking he can keep plodding on and by some stroke of luck it will come good.

My guess would be he wants to spend his money wisely. Only lemons will be available out of contract.

Could he not have spent money wisely during the transfer window!?
He and KR wanted play offs minimum. We have signed some decent players but not addressed the 'lone striker' issue. Waiting until Jan makes it look more likely we will now settle for mid table at best!

But January will there be a decent striker available, I would hate to think we bought one and paid top wages and then we have another GVK. A loan will probably be the best with a view to buy if it works out or just a loan to get us through to the end of the season then invest in a decent one.

I would like us to try and sign someone like Stockley from Exeter in January. Then another striker too, because we are very short on strikers.

They have to be the priorities.
