I agree tbf.I would give him a deal until the end of the season.
Would depend on the terms but as a third choice centre forward to allow Gatlin to go out on loan, it might not be the worst shout.I agree tbf.
Very experienced, put up decent numbers most places he's been:
75 G/A in 143 Scottish Premiership appearances
36 G/A in 90 Scottish Championship appearances
40 G/A in 46 ISL appearances
No one gets 211 career goals & assists (most at a decent level) without being a good player.
Yes he's 33, but as a backup on a short term deal I wouldn't say no. Some proper experience and an older head wouldn't go amiss in a dressing room that needs leadership.
Yeah, I feel if he takes the gatlin "last fifteen minutes against tiring legs" role allowing gatlin to get the regular football he will thrive under then it isn't a bad shout. But hope we are also looking at someone youngerWould depend on the terms but as a third choice centre forward to allow Gatlin to go out on loan, it might not be the worst shout.

Depends whether he’s any good or how fit he is presumablyWeren't we linked to him several years ago, possibly during the Appleton era?
I don't know much about him as a player so can't say if I think we should sign him or not, but I do think we need to differentiate between experienced players who are still in good physical condition and experienced players whose legs have gone. Just because he's 33, doesn't mean he's necessarily a crock - look at Bennett.
A short term deal could work well, providing he's fit and wants to play here.
Think he can play as an attacking and central midfielder too, so can be backup for a few positions.Yeah, I feel if he takes the gatlin "last fifteen minutes against tiring legs" role allowing gatlin to get the regular football he will thrive under then it isn't a bad shout. Just watched YouTube highlights of him .Take a look.
I haven't played it for over 20 years. But, reads like you got the latest edition of Football Manager?I know it has been mentioned at length on previous pages but it might be worth trying to extract 1 or 2 of Readings better players at a discounted price due to their financial problems. There are no relocation problems and potentially opportunistic value. For example Charlie Savage as CDM at 22 with good potential, a Wales international and supposedly a really good attitude. There was no transfer fee when they acquired him from MU but a 50% sell-on clause. Would £200k be value for us and good for Reading with accompanying wage reduction
I agree tbf.
