Ruben isn’t going anywhere. Unless a ridiculous offer came in. Plus him and Stokes are totally different players.

Des saw Perkins as a striker based on comments in the press and said he wasn't playing because he was behind Mark and Gatlin, hopefully this means we do have someone else coming in.

Considering how few goals our strikers have scored this year, not playing and being behind another striker with zero goals is basically a contract-ender. Best for all parties that he goes back.

After his comments regarding Luke Williams when he was linked with the vacant managerial position I don't think it'd be out of the realms of possibility he'd want to follow him to Swansea, I do hope not and I hope we'd well compensated should it happen. And while both him and Stokes are number 10's not too many players are similar to Ruben would be quite difficult to like for like replace him.

I think he’s shown real ability, but only in patches. Also, he’s not the fastest.
You may be right, but I don’t think he’s shown enough at L1 level (yet).

Agree with this.
I remember most on here didn’t believe it when there was rumoured Championship interest in Sykes, many thought he’d be off to L2. RR already had plenty of admirers and has done enough here to gain more. I’d be very surprised if he is playing League One football next season, but I think we’ll get a sizeable fee.
If we spent a fraction of the proceeds on Stokes and he’s half as good as people say, good business all round.

He has all the attributes to play in the champ and clubs will most definitely have him on their radar.
Let’s help him get a Lg1 promotion on his cv and then cash in to the tune of £3 million+.
Think Stokes will get a Championship move with a loan back
If he’s one year down on a long term deal then I’d want more for him to be honest, time to take a lesson from Peterborough and hold out for more. Especially if Williams wants to bring him in as the key dressing room influence i.e. someone who fully buys into his methods.
