I think it's very clear he doesn't feel any pressure. Why that is or whether it's right I'm not sure. But certainly hes a lot more chipper than a couple of weeks ago when people were worried about his MH.

Can't just be the Exeter win right?
That’s why I think there has been internal talks and a clear message put out to him of what is expected going forward. It also sounds like things are getting more organised now the CEO is here which he again welcomed.
He said mistakes have been made by himself, maybe that is him taking his eye off the ball and becoming too comfortable due to the lack of leadership from above?

In all fairness to KR he's win win if he stays yeah he gets s**t from the fans but gets paid if he's sacked he gets a nice pay out he can't lose and nothing is ever his fault so he will just get another job in his eyes

You’ve really depressed me with your last couple of posts but I fear you could be right ☹️

Neil Critchley could be out of work in 45 minutes time with Villa 1-0 down at half time.

(Picture the scene - A cold, wet October night, pitch black no lights on in the Kassam, with even Betty and Ada having gone home)

Quite unbelievably there are STILL people standing outside the Kassam, with ol' scrambled, Steve and a couple of others, STILL waving plackards, trying to justify why kr should get more time to correct the absolute mess robinson has got us into.
It beggars belief, it really does....

To be fair that was a typical KR interview wasn’t it.

I’ve been in the KR out camp for a while but if you listen hard enough you can possibly find a couple of lessons learnt etc.

He seemed to acknowledge that in the next window they’ll move on to 2nd / 3rd targets quicker. You might say that should have been learnt well before the most recent window but hey ho! We clearly focused far too long on our 1st choice targets.

Tbh, I didn't listen to all his babbling, it was too difficult. Did he actually mention loans? If so I still maintain we would be responsible for a large chunk of their wages.
Don’t thinknhe mentioned loans at all I think it was more of moving players on.

So let's say he's got three games to save his job that's Peterborough, Portsmouth, Bolton do we honestly think we are going to get seven points minimum from those games I think we will be lucky to get two

He’s going to be here for ever isnt he… 🥺

How many of the current crop of young players do you think will be playing regular L1 or above football for any club in, say, three years?

James Golding
Following a handful of sub apperances in the remainder of this season, he signs for Woking in the Summer of 2023. James goes on to play 29 times in his first season with them, but ultimately The Cards are relegated from The National League.
In the Summer of 2024 he signs for newly promoted National League side Bath City on the recommendation of Bath DofF David Oldfield. He is made captain and makes 39 starts for them as they finish an impressive 7th, losing to Southend in the playoffs.
By October 2025 he is still performing well for Bath and eyeing a return to the League.

Tyler Goodrham
Loaned to Colchester United in January 2023 for the remainder of the season, he makes 12 appareances, 11 of which are from the bench. Scores once.
Joins L2 Northampton at the start of the 23/24 season on a season long loan. Plays 28 games, 16 of which are starts, scoring 5 goals including a brace against Wycombe.
Signs permanently for Northampton in the Summer of 2024, turning down Karl Robinson's Stevenage in the process. The following season he starts strongly with 7 goals by mid October and is signed by Luton of L1 in January 2025.
By October 2025 he has 11 appearances for Luton, all off the bench. No goals yet. Likely to get a loan back to League Two in January 2026.

Slavi Spasov
Released in the Summer of 2023, Slavi joins North Leigh and scores 33 goals in all competitions. Hailed as the next Matty Taylor by half of YellowsForum, he signs for Newport County in the Summer of 2024.
Unlike Matty, he does not find a return to League football so easy and ends up on loan at Chippenham Town, now player-managed by Billy Bodin. Slavi signs for them permanently, finds his level, enjoys football again.

Gatlin O'Donkor
Given significant opportunity at the back end of the '23 season, he scores 3 League One goals including 2 against Derby County - which leaves Paul Warne an admirer. Ultimately Derby miss out as he signs (undisclosed) for now L1 Coventry City in the Summer of 2023.
Unfortunately a poor start to the Sky Blues 23/24 campaign means Mark Robins is sacked and leaves GO'D out of favour with new Coventry manager Mark Bonner. Loaned to Crewe in January 2024, he forms a solid partnership with Dan Agyei as the Railwaymen finish 12th in League Two.
His contract at Coventry is mutually terminated in the Summer and he signs for Notts County who have just been promoted back into the League. He struggles for game time and is loaned to Chesterfield in the National League but again struggles, scoring just once and gets himself sent off in an ill-tempered local derby FA Trophy defeat at Ilkeston.
By October 2025 he is still at Notts County but getting little game time outside of the Pizza Trophy (now called 'The Aldi Super Cup').

Josh Johnson
Leaves OUFC in the Summer of 2023 without a further competitive appearance. After a successful trial, joins relegated Cheltenham Town. Having played 12 games by January in a struggling side that effectively doesn't use a midfield, he then goes out on loan to fellow L2 side FGR for game time. Plays just 4 games here and is released by Cheltenham at the end of the 23/24 season.
Signs for FC Vaduz in Liechtenstein (now managed by an Englishman called Andy Whing) and goes on to make 23 starts in the Swiss 2nd division, before following Whing to Aarhus in Denmark. A superb finish to the season for club and player sees them qualify for the Europa League and manager Andy Whing appointed at Coventry (following Mark Bonners sacking for gross misconduct). A now well-regarded Johnson is linked with a host of English L1 and even Championship clubs but instead signs for Danish champions FC Midtjylland (to the dismay of his pregnant Danish girlfriend Anna, who quite liked the sound of 'Wigan Pier').

Try re read my posts Mr Mellow. Where have I backed him in my last 2 posts?
I’ve pointed out the reasons why he doesn’t seem to act like he is under too much pressure.

That isn’t backing him. If it was me in his shoes then I certainly wouldn’t feel as confident as he was or doing radio Q&As so that’s why I think there have been internal conversations that go against what a lot of fans wish for.

You could say it was almost humble in parts for a Robinson interview!

What I found interesting the most was his comments about the new structure of people in the club and it sounds like he really did need that to happen as with just tiger here he was taking on more than he should of, even if he is too stubborn to ever admit it.

I didn’t listen to the interview - and have no intention to - but did I read that he said there is no need for a CEO? Firstly, that should never be his decision and secondly, that doesn’t sound very humble to me or coming from somebody who’s learnt lessons. More like someone who’s spinning bullshit about getting on board with a ‘new structure’. He’s probably already draped his arm around the shoulder of both Williams and Ferguson 🙄

You can read articles from when he was Charlton manager when it was all identical. A lot of fun.

This is a good one - players aren’t fit enough and he wants to be brave with substitutions even if it goes wrong sometimes, fans don’t understand what they’re watching in games, but that’s fine, he respects their opinions.

Another peach above. The Charlton players care for the club and he’s been working really hard all summer, spending hours on the phone and totally changing the club singlehandedly. Players caring? Blimey. Imagine that.

This is definitely worth a read. Some particular highlights:

“He said he had never been so excited about a pre-season. There is no choice other than promotion.

He has the budget to get the players he wants.

The money was there to win the league last season but we got mediocre players.

If I fall short, that's my fault.”

After finishing 13th in 16/17 he left the club 9th in late March of 2018, and Lee Bowyer then went on a winning streak with the same players he had to get them into the playoffs, then got Charlton promoted the following season, and then Robinson went on RadOx a few months later and said he had laid the foundations at Charlton. So much for saying promotion in the season that he bailed out was the only choice, and that it was on him if it didn’t happen. He still won, you see. In a way.

This was a cracker. Talking about another job while still Charlton manager (which he obviously took) and then throws in a bit about how there was another club that wanted him a few months earlier, but that nobody mentioned that.

Well… apart from Karl, that is. In the national press.

I mean… this isn’t even difficult to unpick.

Just do your job.
Ryan to be on the next fans forum with KR as a guest please. I know Ryan would tear KR a new one...

Fascinating and worrying reading. KR running out of excuses.

I did sense KR is feeling no worry about being fired in that interview...

Not a CEO, he said there was no need for a Director of Football.

And yes, it shouldn’t be something he’s commenting on as it’s a decision that should/would be taken by his superiors.

Sorry my bad, I meant a DoF.

Did he say the current CEO was once a DoF and by inference, could fill that roll ?

and absolute shite too - Gerrard another of those good players who can't hack it in the dugout - still at least he seems a nice chap unlike Roy Keane

That was a horrible listen, some of the things he spouts are outrageous. Totally fed up of his failure to acknowledge mistakes, we'll never move forward if he's only ever going to pretend his decisions are correct but our results are just unlucky.

The Baldock injury is half expected, barely going to feature all season, the Murphy one is an absolute joke considering how much of our wage budget was used to sign him.

This clubs needs a refresh.
Didn't even bother nor will i listen on player either just can't be asked listening to the bullshit no more
