He said it leading up to the last window then pulled two loan deals at 10.45pm even though he'd asked the players to find clubs

Yep.

He pulled loan moves for Jones & Smyth last minute because his left back loan and striker loan fell through from Crystal Palace & Stoke.

It makes 0 sense like a lot of what Karl has done in recent months has.

It’s ok though lads. Remember, we should be:

- grateful he’s here and didn’t walk away when other clubs were interested
- grateful that we reached a play off final as we over achieved that season. If we over achieved, what the f**k did Wycombe do?
- grateful that we’ve had many balanced transfer windows under KR

I’m sorry but the bloke is a clown. He is arguably the most arrogant and egotistical bloke I’ve ever heard speak.

Funny, when the full truth is outed he will most probably be less than chipper!

Completey disagree , only time will tell but why so down on our younger players always ?
Why do I have to be down on our players, just because I mirror the opinion of others. Have you questioned them in the same way? Dear oh dear.

E.g. "None of our current crop of youth players are currently anywhere near good enough to be regular league one players."

Having seen them play many times, in my personal opinion, I don't think they are good enough. Too many mistakes, getting pushed off the ball etc. I watched Martin Aldridge, Joey, Callum, Chrissy Allen, and saw they had something special.

Why personally scrutinise what I personally think? I'm not going to put them on a pedestal and say they are the future of the club, as you may say. That's your prerogative, and I absolutely respect that, but I'm not going to ask you why.
We've got bigger fish to fry atm, like getting rid of robinson.

Using youngsters, that's novel . Goodrham if playing and not coming on for 10 minutes here and there would have contributed much more than Bodin, Taylor or even Henry so far . As for size yes let's sack off Messi and scout loads of Ben Futchers as tall.
Golding looks a great prospect, as indeed at 17 it's hard to predict futures but we do have talented youngsters who will be able to comfortably play league football.
Again that's your opinion, why do you feel the need to force it onto other people if they believe the polar opposite?

So he’s talking about what he plans to do in January? Has he had assurances that he’s still going to be here no matter what or is he just so delusional and egotistical that the thought of his position being under threat hasn’t really even crossed his mind?

You can read articles from when he was Charlton manager when it was all identical. A lot of fun.

This is a good one - players aren’t fit enough and he wants to be brave with substitutions even if it goes wrong sometimes, fans don’t understand what they’re watching in games, but that’s fine, he respects their opinions.

Another peach above. The Charlton players care for the club and he’s been working really hard all summer, spending hours on the phone and totally changing the club singlehandedly. Players caring? Blimey. Imagine that.

This is definitely worth a read. Some particular highlights:

“He said he had never been so excited about a pre-season. There is no choice other than promotion.

He has the budget to get the players he wants.

The money was there to win the league last season but we got mediocre players.

If I fall short, that's my fault.”

After finishing 13th in 16/17 he left the club 9th in late March of 2018, and Lee Bowyer then went on a winning streak with the same players he had to get them into the playoffs, then got Charlton promoted the following season, and then Robinson went on RadOx a few months later and said he had laid the foundations at Charlton. So much for saying promotion in the season that he bailed out was the only choice, and that it was on him if it didn’t happen. He still won, you see. In a way.

This was a cracker. Talking about another job while still Charlton manager (which he obviously took) and then throws in a bit about how there was another club that wanted him a few months earlier, but that nobody mentioned that.

Well… apart from Karl, that is. In the national press.

I mean… this isn’t even difficult to unpick.

Just do your job.

not this again please

strange how it's those who want him gone keep raising this with their inuendo's.

if you have something that is likely to damage our club either then do something about it and face the consequences or keep it away from here.

The full truth about what? It’s all getting a bit frothy here.

I imagine he’s such a big brooding personality at the club that nobody can stop him making these ridiculous ramblings. It’s bizarre and worrying that he’s allowed to keep making such a fool of himself and the club.

Sounds like due to the poor start this seasons targets have been shifted slightly internally. At a guess it would be to be in or around the play offs but I’m not sure promotion is the be all and end all from what was said tonight. It wouldn’t surprise me if the board have come in, looked at things from the summer, sat down with Karl and told him they don’t expect another transfer window like it, it his job to build a team to challenge for promotion and to stay in the championship. If that is the case then January will be a massive window with a lot of movement in and out of club. Moving players on who have seen their better days like Henry and Taylor and almost rebuilding the team.

Only time will tell I guess but it certainly didn’t sound like a man who felt under pressure from the board.

Henry who was given a 2 year deal a few months ago? Taylor is well off form and on the downswing but is also 50% of our strike force along with a loan player who I wonder if they'll be better out wide. Baldock is class but you absolutely can't rely on him.

The board were also around in January in a less official capacity so they will also be aware of the cock up that window was. I really can't see why they'd possibly trust him with another.

Tbh at some points I sensed he was daring the board to sack him
He has a powerful agent so knows he would fight for his contract to be paid up in full

Taylor who’s in talks to sign a new deal. Be surprised if it’s not confirmed in the next few weeks..

😴

I think it's very clear he doesn't feel any pressure. Why that is or whether it's right I'm not sure. But certainly hes a lot more chipper than a couple of weeks ago when people were worried about his MH.

Can't just be the Exeter win right?
