Eastwood 5/10
Long 4/10
Moore 7/10
Findlay 8/10 MOTM
Seddon 6/10
McGuane 7/10
Brannagan 6/10
Browne 6/10
Murphy 5/10
Taylor 5/10
Bodin 5/10

Shoutout to KR & the subs Henry/Bate and obviously Goodrham. All made an impact on a poor game!

Yep. People forgetting that first half as they’re now pushing an agenda. Long was poor for 90 minutes today. Seddon was poor for 45 minutes. Both need replacing asap. They limit our whole side massively.
Not sure about replacing but they certainly need competition so they have someone to compete with for a place. Long arguably played his best football for us in the season he was competing with Cadden, and Seddon has proven he can perform but isn't always as on it as he needs to be. A competitor could sharpen his mind.

Bit harsh on Eastwood. I critiqued his distribution last week but thought it was excellent this week and he also kept a clean sheet

Can’t mark him higher with that major flap at the end that should’ve resulted in a Cambridge goal.

I was only listening, so am probably in no position to comment, but "f*****g appalling" is a bit OTT from what I heard on (obviously un-biased!) RadOx commentary.

Clean sheet, no shots on target from Cambridge, last minute winner. Reasons to be cheerful!
It was an appalling performance.

The only reason Cambridge had zero shots, was because they were bloody awful as well, it wasn’t a good advert for league one football today at all.

I haven’t been so bored and disheartened at a game since the Clotet era.

We looked completely disjointed, couldn’t string two meaningful passes together, so many individual mistakes, and looked very flat with no creativity.

Only once Henry and Bate came on, did we improve slightly and look to make things happen.

Then thankfully, Tyler Goodrahm comes on and saves the day with a moment of brilliance, a wonder goal, and I doff my hat to KR for taking the gamble by throwing him on 👏

Early days, I know, and fingers crossed for some serious improvements to the squad and for things to click into place ASAP.

But two games in, and in terms of the current level of personnel and performance, we’re so far off the level required for promotion, it’s scary.

Into the 50th minute, and we have our first chant of the game
You obviously weren’t at the game. It’s already been said it’s a two way thing, team / crowd prompting support and performance in equal measure. I’ve never felt quite so dispirited during the first half as we laboured to get anything going and that drains any enthusiasm I can tell you, but there was noise early on.

Also, it's time for Brannagan to step up after his new deal. Two very average performances for 8k a week thus far.

Disagree, Seddon wasn't poor for 45 minutes. Seddon had a decent game and he definitely made a key challenge in the 2nd half when the rest got caught out. I agree on Sam Long, he was poor today but he wasn't the only one.

Well that was a poor spectacle. We didn't look like a team for most of the game. I disagree that Cambridge were poor but they ain't going to be up there and we should be showing a lot more against their like if we have any serious ambitions of promotion. Thought Seddon had one of his best games for a while. Aren't added time goals the best. 😁

Given that the new signings were only brought in during the last two weeks or so then we're doing our pre-season now. It'll take another 3 or 4 games for things to click

Not long got home. We were poor today and seemed incapable of getting the ball past their midfield unless one of the defenders hit a big diagonal. But that's because Mark Bonner had set them up well, he's a very good manager.

Goodrhm though. Jeepers creepers what a run and finish. We needed some individual inspiration because we found it hard to break them down, probably because Mark Bonner is an excellent manager.

Hopefully we can string some results and good performances together now, which should be a little easier as we won't be having to play a team managed by the exceptional Mark Bonner every week.

Brief shout out for Sam Smith too, odious though he is. He was one of the best players on the park. Absolute handful all game…
Yep, as much as it pains me to say it, he's become a very good League 1 striker. If he were playing for us I think he would be an absolute handful. So many big diagonals and long balls we pump up to Taylor, who did brilliantly with the one he nodded down to Browne but by and large is not going to win that many aerial duels, rendering them mostly pointless and simply handing possession away. Smith has the size and physicality to win a lot more of those high balls, or at least would be able to use his body to prevent the defender having an easy clearing header, but in addition to this he also has a good turn of pace and nice technical ability with a pretty sweet left foot. A striker of that ilk would be the perfect alternative to Taylor.
