Agree with the majority on Long, last season seems like a blip - he's really good with Henry in front of him, but jittery with other players on the right. Maybe that says more about Henrys quality than Longs.. and NO way a Captain.

We need a RB and LB cover, a central mid and a striker...not many then...

Bit of a weird one and one I would expect to not be true - Read on Twitter that David Oldfield met with KR recently and is looking to try and bring in someone on loan from us - and they're thinking that it'll be Dan Agyei, which seems to be way lower than his level.

He had two L1 clubs and four from L2 after him in August, and was stopped from leaving at the last minute because they got spooked over Winnall’s fitness.

If he ends up dropping that low then it’s a stitch up.

Exactly, if the hard work was done, as we are led to believe by the "recruitment team" weeks before, then it's as hard as you want to make it.
IF the needed transfers are not brought it, the hard work the squad have put in to get them where they are will have been for nothing, as the second part of the season will be much harder, with others adding to their squads.
It's all well and good looking to build a top stadium, in years to come, but surely the short term is equally as important and getting to the next stage up to fill the stadium.

I have a feeling this Weymouth ITK-er probably did a few seconds of research and saw that Dan was struggling this season and that a loan was potentially expected and added 2 and 2 to make 5. Think it's more likely Oldfield spoke to KR while at Ox City and the loan was for one of our youngsters.

Although tbf if Dan DID drop that low he would absolutely rip the conference to pieces. Sets up well for a healthy L2/lower L1 contract in the summer when the confidence is back and flowing.

The implication was that Cooper hadn't returned to Ireland when he clearly did. He may have returned or is isolating in Ireland (I don't know either way) but he certainly wasn't around pre-Christmas.

It's entirely possible for both people to be correct.

Cooper definitely did go to Northern Ireland prior to Christmas and it could be that since returning, he has been required to isolate (for whatever reason).

I'm all for defensive depth - it's been my biggest beef with KR for the past three seasons.

But at this stage, with a little more than a week to go, then I'd just take one more fullback. Someone who knows how to play the position and can put even a little bit of pressure on Seddon or Long. If they're right-footed, then we know Sam Long can switch flanks and back up Seddon there.

As long as they're better than Grayson was last year!
